This is what is wrong with this game. In the absence of new content it has become a Korean MMO by default.

Everything is mindless grind grind grind because people think that is all there is to do, and that they need those CP to gain an unfair advantage.

What makes me laugh is that people cry and complain about horse training being PTW, everything "pay to win this, whine whine whine that" yet they mindlessly grind for those unfair advantage CP which is absolutely NO different than the me me me psychology behind PTW.

    Hypocrisy.

I do NOT think this game needs to cater to mindless grinding any more than it already does. Go play Aion or any other Korean MMO if that is what you want.

ESO needs to cap CP per expansion and give the average player a way to catch up to the no-lifers.

Rubbish, it's a reflection of the people making the polls not the game.

I don't want separate content for subscribers. I am one, but I don't consider myself in any way different or superior to someone who may or may not be contributing more through Crown Store purchases than I'm contributing through a subscription.

Some Odd polls today also mate it normally helps to go into detail about your idea and really paint a picture for people.

Here is an example on how to make a truly detailed poll that offers something for all sides and is non bias poll.

I'd resub for this. Call me evil, I'm bored with Cadwell's and not interested at all in PVP. Something I could simply chip away at all by myself that was meaningful in XP terms would suit me just fine
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

This is just plain silly. If you want a poll with results that resemble any kind of accuracy, maybe make it not biased?

And I say no. This is a very random idea that should have maybe stayed in your head.

Today must be limited options poll day or something...

I don't follow. You want a new specific solo only places where you can "grind"? And these should only be for subscribers?

Apart from the odd idea to add something with the only purpose of grinding, I have a small question. Why?

What is wrong with adding new content. A new zone like what they are working on? Do you rather want a new zone with grinding only things? Why not a new zone with everything in it?

    I am a subscriber btw.

I like the idea but it will never happen. There would be too many people whining that the grinding is not really playing the game and people should get more XP for running around and pressing 'e' at random locations than high density combat. This is how craglorn got nerfed.
    {snip}

ESO needs to cap CP per expansion and give the average player a way to catch up to the no-lifers.

ZoS' answer to this is enlightenment (as you are probably already aware, but mentioning for the sake of the thread). Its effectiveness can be debated. The fact of the matter is that there will never be a way to catch up to the no-lifers as long as ZoS tries to put incentives into the game for highly addicted players. Given that this game is one minor step away from a freemium game, that will never happen. Their entire business model is dependent upon the highly addicted gamer, and as such those people who play less than 40-60 hours a week will never be able to 'catch up.'

Honestly, I wish they'd just go full p2w and sell champion points directly, instead of fooling around with the horse feeding and the XP boosters. Buying champion points is a convenience item anyway, you'll eventually earn them so why not give the people who want to pay for convenience an opportunity to do so.

Competition over public grind spots is going to get really nasty and toxic once actual money is involved. Which will stink because ESO has generally had a pleasant game environment with friendly, helpful people. But when people start spending real money on XP potions, it is going to get ugly when other people doing normal game content interfere with XP grind. If ZOS is going to release time-based XP potions that encourage grind-grind-grind to get your money's worth, then giving those people a place to grind-grind-grind without freaking out because someone touched "their" grind spot seems like a decent idea.

I would have preferred XP potions tied to a certain amount of XP (i.e., your next 100,000 XP will have a 50% bonus) as opposed to time-based XP potions. Then "grind efficiency" becomes less important. No one loses out on anything they payed for. But if time-based is the way ZOS wants to go, a way that will encourage ugly arguments over grind spots, then I think instanced grind spots are preferable to the toxic, antisocial game environment that will arise from grind spot competition.

Edit: Don't agree about "subscriber" thing, though. That should not play into it.

People need to learn to stop talking about them. First rule of Grind Club and all.

Believe me, you may THINK you are being cool telling "just a few guildies" about it, but really, that is how gossip starts, and NO ONE keeps their mouth shut.

Pretty soon everyone and his doge are their spamming (or ZOS just outright nerfs the area's XP), and thanks to ZOS's genius "more than 2 players hitting an enemy lowers your XP gains" system, suddenly these grind spots become crap.

Please please please people don't be the "good hearted" schmuck that talks about it! XD

If you find it, grind it!
