Bounty goes up for no reason in dungeons..

Ive notice my bounty has been increasing randomly in dungeons and cyrodiil without me actually comitting a crime. id like to know why this is happening. heres a video of it actually going up in a dungeon, a place I thought was void of bounty or the justice system...

That's brutal. Have you also reported this as a bug in game? You won't get a response like you will here on the forums (or via a help ticket), but it will make sure the bug gets to ZOS.

I know it's long, but try reading through there to see if ZOS is aware. You can easily skip to the next mod post by clicking the arrows next to the Z avatar of a mod post. (So in the original post, click the arrows beside to Z avatar that is under the post number and date [#1 June 7])

hmm. I looked, couldn't find anything regarding what im experiencing. perhaps the justice system is bugged for ps4 or for my character. I wish I could get some mod or gm to contact me about this issue, I've sent multiple tickets in-game and on here and no answer other than "check the forums". this is upsetting because my bounty went up another 12k while I was in cyrodiil last night, I may need to create a new character.

Just an idea because I am not sure. Is it possible, that since you are in a party (the video shows you grouped), you are also responsible for their actions? You get credit for others successes. You should equally get the credit/repercussions of their failures. If so, your bounty should increase if they were killing NPCs or other illegal activity.

I suppose that is possible, but the video was taken in a dungeon and my group was all together. from my knowledge there are no mobs that can generate bounty in dungeons, I also have "prevent attacking innocents" on. My bounty goes up at least once per dungeon, usually rising a massive 8000 gold. that cant be normal.

I know that you get a bounty if you heal someone and he then decides to commit a crime.

It's unlikely, but do you run around in towns healing people before you enter the dungeon?

Hey, @MaximumAttackG. It looks like your bounty went up because you'd just leveled up from 29 to 30. Your level is a factor in your bounty calculations, and when we ran the math, leveling from 29 to 30 jumps bounty from ~245k to ~254k, which is what the video shows. You've leveled up 3 times in Arx Corinium, which is probably why you see the meter keep going up while you're in there.

And as to where all that bounty initially came from.... It seems as though someone was a busy bee in Daggerfall last Thursday. The town guard has reported 474 murders, 23 assaults, 183 thefts, and 47 pickpockets -- and the survivors claim that the perpetrator was a certain hooded Argonian!

Good luck avoiding the guards' clutches, and we'll see you in the nearest Refuge!

so it was not about a new bounty, but an existing bounty increasing as you level up. Good to know as I am currently building a new toon that intends to RP an impulsive thief.

You have been a very busy professional criminal Max, but not a very careful one ... the Thieves Guild may well not be impressed - my understanding is they do tend to avoid murder, that's the realm of a certain other guild

Alright. Hands down that gets into my favourite top 10 mod/dev response list. I also did not know bounty goes up as you level, that's really interesting. I guess it makes sense though, a higher level character most likely has more gold.

Good job on leveling up 3 times in a dungeon too!

PS - Try not to get caught so much once your finally allowed near a town again

I quite like being an outlaw, it isnt so bad down here in the refuge and Ive found some nice bandit camps with work benches. Although id like to spend some of my blood money on bag space, unfortunately no vendor wants anything to do with me. haha

This is a little silly.

I understand the bounty going up as you level - but not the bounty you already have, just additional bounty should be higher.

I mean... can you imagine this in the real world?

"I'd like to pay my £100 speeding fine, please."
"Uhh... sorry, but our record show that it was your birthday yesterday. You owe us £120 now."
