Can two male characters get married on this?

Jordaaa4n4
Me and my friend want to get married in ESO and we were wondering if two men can get married on the game? P.S. how do you actually marry somebody? I can't find the option anywhere, I remember on Skyrim you needed the Amulet of Mara, but I haven't seen this amulet anywhere on this game. Thanks

You can find the ring of mara in the cash shop which will allow anyone to marry anyone.

Or you can find it in the imperial edition of the game. Maybe other editions, can't keep up with them.

The Pledge of Mara, which is from the Imperial Edition or you can purchase it from the Crown Store, is what you will need. It is used at the Shrine of Mara in the chapel of any city. It does not matter what sex your partner is.

The only way of getting "Married" in this game is by having a pledge of Mara. This is available from the Imperial Edition or to buy on the Crown Store.

You may marry any player you wish to, male or female!

It is nothing more than to give some extra XP when you play in a group together with the person you marry.

There are rings of mara. they give a shared 10% XP boost.

One person needs to have the imperial edition, then they can give the other person the second ring by doing a ritual in the main city of an alliance at the shrine of Mara. Check link below.

Ignore the screenshot and yes it works for two men, just need to find a shrine of mara which should be in the first major city of the faction you choose.

This has a bit more of a detial walkthrough and explains why I said ignore the screenshot,

    http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Ritual_of_Mara

The site is a little out of date since the game went b2p but still explains, a lot of sites haven't been updating since

If you hit , in game (Assuming you're on PC) it will open the Crown store, select Consumables then Utility, the Pledge of Mara is currently priced for 1,000 crowns sold separately from anything else.

What if an Orc and an Argonian have a child, would it be Argorcian or an Orcargo? I think that would be interesting. That would be one fast swimming Orc.... You should be able to blend traits after using the rings to some degree.

What if I am Kahjiit, but identify as being an Orc because I don't like my birth parents?

Going by the quest content, the ESO universe is very open to intra-gender, inter-species, and all other forms of relationship.
I believe an Argonian can even marry her egg-sister.

Remember only one of you needs the pledge in your inventory. Go to a shrine of Mara together, found in the first major town and also among the respec shrines in the major town of the second zone, and activate it.

I imagine you can marry anyone or anything you want. You walk up to someone and you say, "marry me?" they say, "yup" and you're all done. Not sure why you need a special game mechanic to get married.

Yes, two male or female can get married.
I'm so glad this finally became a normal thing, also back in Skyrim already I was very happy to see it's possible (although I've been "married" to a male custom follower, though^^).
In too many games it's still standard to only see male-female couples, which sucks. In ESO I love to see also NPC gay couples, like Hartmin in Greenshade for whom you gather these wonderful blue flowers, and I think a woman in Grahtwood wanted me to look for her wife in a cave/dungeon, and so on.
This is a really positive development in games, and it also is getting more and more accepted in real-life. Finally, it's about time! Thanks ZOS and Bethesda for adding this to your games! :)
