PvP Campaign Question

I made my 1st character on EP, tried out pvp, thought it was awesome, made a new character in AD to play with my friends, but i have no idea on how to join the campaign on my new character, i was told you can switch for free on your first time, then it costs Alliance Points, i need a quick walk-through if anyone knows how to help me, i tried switching my old character away from the campaign but it says i have recently switched so i cant O.o even ththough i haven't, will deleting my old character work? I dont wanna try it incase it doesnt and ive wasted a half decent character, im on Ps4 if that helps

If you're trying to assign your AD character to the same campaign as your EP, we restrict that from occurring for now. You will need to assign those characters to different campaigns.

Is there nothing i can do? I dont want to join the other campaigns can i not just delete my old character? Then i cant do the things im assuming your worried about, spying etc

Yes, you just can't have characters from different alliances assigned to the same campaign.

With all due respect, Brian, restricting the campaigns in this way is extremley annoying. It's the main reason why people only have AD characters or only EP characters.

I have friends from different alliances I'd like to PVP with, but I have to constantly juggle my campaigns around, it's really annoying because I have DC, AD and EP characters.

My annoyance is multiplied as you'll now be restricting the "Travel to player" work around.

Many sad faces.

Not having chars from different alliances in the same campaign just makes sense, prevents people from just flipping to the alliance that has the most momentum.

And while a very small portion of players use the travel to player function to actually travel to friends (as you are), most abuse the function to zerg through campaigns, upsetting any balance. Preventing travel to player is something that will vastly improve pvp (strictly my opinion, and many valid arguments against it).

Which they had to put in to prevent PVPers exploiting it.

Many such restrictions are because players find every possible way to 'cheat' and in PVP the number one 'cheat' is to find ways to flit from one to another as @sswilhelm_27b14_ESO said.

This is is very good then I won't watch a red spy jump on his DC lowbie and run the blue scroll to the red keep where his friends killed him and took it into the keep.... Again!
