ERROR 209 - PatchManifestError_VersionFail

I am sure everyone is getting this after the latest patched patch? I cannot fix it no matter what I do. Repair repairs then spits out the same error every time. Any thoughts? Suggestions?

    Don't repair it. Just start the game from the .exe file, or when it errors, just close the launcher and open it again. Sometimes it takes closing it more than once to make the error go away and be able to see "play". It seems to be random on who gets the error during patches.. some people had it last patch and this one stopped it.. where I didn't have it last patch but now I do.

    Just FYI - that error occurs when it can't read the version files. If it continues to show up when using the launcher, then it's likely that when another update is pushed you'll be unable to play until it is fixed, as just starting eso.exe like MissBizz said will refuse to work then.

    This is for Error 210 but could possibly help.

    I had the same problem, contacted customer support which sent this email to fix it. Worked really well without having to re-install the game, as it only deletes a few bytes (about 60k) of data.

    I understand you have encountered an issue when trying to download the manifest. The Patch Manifest error is usually the result of a corrupt or otherwise invalid manifest file for the launcher. This can be fixed by deleting the manifest file manually, which will force the launcher to re-generate the manifest. Please follow the steps below to locate and delete this file:

    Navigate to the Patcher's install folder (by default located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online \Launcher)

    Locate and delete the ProgramData folder.

    Restart the launcher

    The launcher should now display "Creating Download." This is normal as the launcher begins the regeneration process. It can take anywhere between 21-30% before the launcher switches to "Downloading game files."
    Try to run the client

    I don't know.. I just suddenly got this really strange error message and a second game client started while I playing the first one. The second one started asking me to accept new user agreements and stuff... I have to note as well it was the fourth time my game crashed today with no error code given.
    Far too many characters to list any more.
