Proposed PVP Update

I like the idea of PvP not affecting PvE content. This has for a long time imbalanced PvE between the factions, allowing other factions to utilize the buffs to obtain higher scores in Trials and VDSA.

With this said... @ZOS should wipe the leaderboards (again) for this change, as the buffs have allowed many of the top scoring groups their scores. This way, any scores earned after the change will all have been on an even playing field (with the exception of CP per person) and not have to worry about PvE'ers trying to figure out what campaign to go to for buffs in order to be competitive in Trials and VDSA.

Completely Agree. Trials and DSA are completely based on speed, and the faster you can kill things the better score you will get. So with that said, having PVP buffs allows you to have about 20% higher DPS. If we really want a even playing field the trial leader boards should be reset when this patch is implemented. (leader boards have been reset before, I dont think it will be an issue if they did it again.)

I agree, resetting the LB for this update shouldn't be an issue. This would really uncomplicate PvE in terms of alliance vs alliance when it comes to the LB.

I agree but why are you posting this here? Should go in the Trials/dungeons/delves section.

I agree, why should PvP buffs effect PvE when they have nothing to do with each other.

So really the question is @ZOS_BrianWheeler what are the plans concerning the Trials/VDSA Leaderboards when the PvP changes come about?

Prob not his department, which is why it was dumb that this was moved here to begin with.

I doubt the boards will be wiped, but eventually new times will still beat the old ones even without the buffs.

With the right amount of CP I'm sure that new scores will beat out the old ones, however many of the scores were earned WITH the PvP buffs. For a huge change such as this, it would only make sense to wipe leaderboards and have a clean slate.

And we have yet to hear any additional news regarding the leaderboards. Sad times.
