starting low makes it painfully slow .... suck it up and enjoy, apparently vamp levelling is tuned for lvl 40+, but its still doable with patience at any level. The painful part is the fire susceptibility and poor health regen

otherwise just have at least one vamp skill on your ability bar at all times, you will level vamp passively over time even if you don't use the skill

at some point in time you will want to max out the different vamp skills and then you will be having 2-3 vamp skills on your bar, but that's later
Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

Lol yeah I figured it out. Got vamp skill line to 7 in a day. Fire and health regen don't bother me atm(pre vet) because of dark elf passive and resist flame glyphs. But thanks for the input ^_^

How the frack did you manage that? Did you even eat or anything that day? What were you doing to level like that? I so need to come questing with you. I am about to hit level 2 in mine and I'm a level 19, but I've increased 4 levels since being turned character wise....so my question is what do you have to do to pull off 7 levels in a day?

It advances based on XP earned while skills from the skill line are on your active bar. My guess is he's significantly higher level than you. The skill line is intended to level at a reasonable rate based on receiving XP at a rate you would receive it at levels 38+. Because you're much lower level than you're supposed to be to become a vampire it's taking you a lot longer to level the skill line than it would take someone of the appropriate level.

Needs to be verified but I think having more than 1 vamp skill on the ability bar also helps.

For functionality you can vamp up your second ability bar and have a real playing skill set on your first (primary) ability bar ... play with primary ability bar active (with maybe just one vamp skill on it) and then before handing in your quests switch to second bar maxed out with vamp skills, hand in, and then back to primary ability bar for game play
