Perfect Roe insanely rare - what does this mean to the average gamer?

Spent two hours last night fishing...nevermind that it was insanely boring, but I did it. I wanted to test.
I skinned 150 fish. That's probably 250+ casts. gag.
Not a SINGLE perfect roe. I do know they exist as people were already selling them.
But, Zos has us chasing our tail, I'm sure the net result of getting 8-12 of these potions...(between getting the perfect roe and the receipt) means we just burned about 10-15 hours of fishing....10-15 hours of which we could have just be playing getting xp, with a net result of lost XP per minute played.
Congrats! these potions will sell like hot cakes in the crown store, and those with more $$$ will have insanely more CPs than your average gamer.

✭Of course they're insanely rare, no one expected otherwise, this is simply ZOS feeble attempt to try to sustain the illusion that there are in-game ways of obtaining things a simple credit card transaction will get instantly in the Store.7 -

To add some content: I expect those potions will have little to zero impact on the game, speaking about PVE. There is a CP threshold up from which any further CP are just 'nice to have', not more. And PVP? Yes, it doesn't matter what news come to the game, PVPers always 'have to stay competitive' else they will all be killed, because they don't have that extra 0,002% oompf. It's a bit exaggerated and maybe sarcastic but I think you get the picture.

Actually not quite true. With the Connoiseur passive from the Provisioning skill line they last 40 min. Plus you get 4 servings with a max crafter making them so 40x4 per each Roe you get.
So far the bottleneck here is getting the recipe fragments lolLag is ruinin' my 'mershun!

✭✭✭✭✭I don't think they are that rare.. went fishing with some guildee's last night as it was the safest thing to do.. I skinned 96 and received two. One guildee received one, and the other also received two. To be honest, at this rate (and at the rate of my already regular fishing I do) I'm going to have more perfect roe than the other rare ingredients.

THe average gamer runs at 100k or so an hour flat out.
The more hard core are on 400-800k an hour
give em both exp pots and the hard core guy will be making more than twice the exp per hour EXTRA over the average gamer

I dont see how they could. They need 7 fragments you can only get one per writ if you are lucky. Doesnt seem like anyone would be able to make these yet.0 -

Pay To Win/ P2W = A item be weapon, armor, or acc that you have to buy only using real money to gain a unfair advantage over some one else who has not spent real money on said gear.
This EXP drink we can make. So please enough with P2W threads the drink is in no way a P2W cause most of us are already maxed leveled and the low levels you see are most likely alt characters.1 -

Yeah, bottleneck is the recipe. I think the fishing will die down, the hardcore farmers and regular fisherman will be the ones hauling in the perfect roe, and selling it. I really don't think anyone who really want to use the XP pots a LOT will be the ones fishing.

From the person I asked, they managed to get 3 this morning by doing writs on 8 of their VR characters. And then people selling them. They claimed fragment 3 was the hardest to find.
Personally, if I were to have gotten lucky and found a fragment, I'd probably sell it right now. The hype is so high, it's a complete seller's market. I don't play nearly enough to make use of these.0 -

Unless I actually see the potion Im not buying people's claims. If people are already making them then that just reinforces the point they arent all that rare. So the store bought ones will probably only be an option for people who dont have a big guild to donate the mats etc.0 -

No, as per the patch notes it's only the provisioning writ that gives you a chance to get a recipe fragment. Provisioning writs are the only ones that give recipes anyway. So you can actually only have 1 chance to get it per character per day.lucky You!!
