And so I got a PatchManifestError 209 AGAIN!!!!!!! WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN AFTER EVERY DAMN PATCH, ZENIMAX???? WHY?????
You have ONE last chance to fix this, before I'll reclaim 30+ gigabytes of harddrive space.

have you tried running eso.exe directly?? the patch manifesto-error is often a flase flag (meaning there is actually nothing wrong). Only if the game is not running properly (and not just a single crash), I would worry.

When I get this, I just close the Launcher then re-open it again. Somehow, when the Launcher loads up, I don't get the Manifest Error. I never opt to repair.

This really should be addressed. It's pretty widespread and consistent. Yes, there are ways around it by directly opening the .exe file or trying to reload the launcher. But people who don't know that are spending 10 to 15 minutes verifying and repairing any time they load ESO or close ESO (it happens after exiting too).

Same bug going on for almost a year.. I don' t know why ZOS didn't solve it by then. It's very serious.. Driving PC gamers away slowly over time..

Sick of old bugs resurfacing. Its pretty obvious the lack of in house testing. No more $$$ from this fellow until they take a little more pride in their work.

Don't repair. It will be a waste of time and download. There is some bug with the launcher that has been around for over a year. I've had the 209 pop up from time to time. I've reinstalled, reinstalled the launcher, deleted host files, installed on another system and even used another ISP. All of them gave me the 209. It needs to be fixed for sure. All I get from CS is check your anti virus to make sure it isn't blocking the launcher or open your ports. Been there done that and neither are the issue.

Don't repair, don't re-install, don't delete any files, don't submit a ticket.

Do close the launcher and re-open it, if need be several times, until the"play" button appears.

Alternatively, just run the game using the eso.exe file in the game folder, once you have installed the current patch through the launcher.

It's simply a bug in the launcher. It usually goes away a few days after patching. They're aware of it, and they're aware that the knowledge base answers aren't always helpful in this case. They are working on it. These points were confirmed during a recent ESO Live episode.

And even though there hasn't been an update for days on PC, and the launcher has been working flawlessly for days, out of the blue, the error appears again this evening!! WTF is this Zenimax???? FIX YOUR DAMN LAUNCHER!!!!!!!!!!! NOW!!!!!!!!! People's patience is pretty much at the end with this crap!!!

Hey all, you don't need a repair for this. Just open and close the Launcher until you get the PLAY option. This error happens after EVERY patch so just disregard it. I get this daily and closing it and reopening it a few times ALWAYS gives me the PLAY option. DO NOT REPAIR as there's no need to.

In my side this error never happend right after patching . Allways ...2/3 days after, most of the time every time I run the launcher.... still can't understand how this can still occure, one years that everyone complain about it .....
