Chicken Breast and Bog-Iron Ale Recipes

Do Chicken Breast and Bog-Iron Ale Recipes exist? I have scoured 50+ traders and can't find a single one, not even at a stupid price.

    Ok found 1 bog-iron ale recipe in a guild bank that i couldn't access, still cannot find chicken breast recipe.

    What i find absolutely outrageous is that these are the first provisions writs given to a player who hasn't done any provisioning ie, level 0. Is this what you want new players to experience ZOS? Luckily I am not a new player and have guildies that will help me out, but if i was new and couldn't get passed a simple task like this I would question the entire games worth

    It can be very frustrating. When I started, if I couldn't find the recipe, I searched the guild kiosks for the actual food. At least with that I could complete the writ. The one I got stuck on was Roast Corn and Bog Iron Ale.
    Took a while to find - looted from some random container while questing.
    But, if I had to skip a provisioning writ for the day, then I did.

    It was worse prior to the 1.6 provisioning overhaul. The level 1 recipes were almost as rare as the ingredients required to craft them. I remember some recipe that required tangerines...

    I would completely understand end game recipes being this rare but i really feel for the newbies starting out and running into this issue. I suppose it comes down to how fast people level through those low zones and don't have the time to loot things or just sell the recipes to merchants.

    Maybe it would make more sense if the first 10 levels worth of writs actually gave you the recipes or one of them at least, it could be abused but after a short while the recipes would be everywhere and pretty much worthless.

    Got the character to level 50 provisioning in the end without doing a writ until I hit max, but i was looking forward to training that skill through the new system since i did all others before writs were introduced so never got to test them for leveling.

    ya i have this issue, just got this writ and have no idea how to complete it. Is it ok to ask a person to buy me the recipe and trade it to me for the gold back?

    I'm new to eso, not in a guild yet and unsure what to do. Got to davons watch and a bit overwhelmed.

    Level 1 recipes are very hard to find because they only drop in the Wailing Prison and starter islands Bleakrock + Bal Foyen / Khenarthi's Roost / Stros M'kai + Bethnik depending on your alliance. That is zones that are under level 5. I had a lot of trouble getting those when I started doing provisioning writs because in 1st alliance area - in my case Stonefalls - only level 10 and 15 recipes, also tier 1, were dropping. And at that time there was no option to simply buy them from vendors.

    @Azuramoonstar

    As long as it is Crafted Food or Drink it matters not who makes it, your main, an Alt of yours or some other player. And sometimes you can buy the completed food or drink in a guild store. If you ask in zone chat, people might make you some, I know I have in the past.
    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
