• EU megaservers for maintenance – March 5, 9:00 UTC (4:00AM EST) - 16:00 UTC (11:00AM EST)
• ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – March 6, 6:00AM EST (11:00 UTC) - 4:00PM EST (21:00 UTC)

why wasnt this recipe bug found on the pts?

    I can't believe that QA did not look at the recipes, so my guess is that this might be an installation issue.

    ZOS's QA team probably have a meeting with the boss tomorrow, or at least there should be.

    I'm guessing they didn't include this on the PTS to prevent players from gaining an advantage having prior knowledge on what to farm and such.

    Most other MMO's that have test servers don't seem to care about this, but I can't really see any other reason for Zeni to not throw it up on the PTS.

    This could be true, but is unlikely, since the information had been datamined already. Not that datamined information is absolute, but still...I'm quite curious myself how such a big bug could go unnoticed prior to release, but I don't expect we'll ever really know.

    Short answer is that ZOS is absolutely horrible at QA. One of the worst I've seen. And I've seen some bad ones.

    Perhaps it didn't exist on the test server. PreProd servers are by definition supposed to be duplicates of Prod environments without load, but over time it's easy for things to fall through the cracks (human error) and the PreProd not be an identical duplicate of Prod.

    At least, that's been my experience in the software engineering field.

    As if putting something on the PTS and having players test and report bugs will make them fix anything before pushing it to the live server.

    Why hire lots of testers when you have users who can find it for you and just patch it after......

    the PTS is like 2-3 patch versions behind. the whole idea of a PTS is to test MAJOR updates, not incrementals.

    How many people actually have this problem? I haven't crashed at all and I mouse over recipes, eat food, talk to vendors etc. Is it most people or just a few? It is a huge bug so anyone that has it would definitely report it, but if it is a small percentage they could have missed it because between big patches the PTS is empty. Of course that doesn't excuse their internal QA.

    It hasn't been on PTS (but it really should have been). The last PTS update was to 2.0.8.
