Where can I buy a fishing rod?

So Im lucky enough to be able to buy some baits in guild traders, for
a very expensive price. But now I cant find any fishing rod for sale.
This is hoarding at its best!

You already have it... I haven't fished, but I think you approach the fishing hole thing and it will tell you to equip or bait pressing a key and then start fishing or something like that.... I might be wrong, but no harm in trying.

Every character you make already comes equipped with a fishing pole. However, you need to find and collect bait.

You currently carry a pocket fisherman rod and reel, now just kill bugs and harvest flowers and get bait for free.

You have the rod already. Yes hover over a fishing spot and follow instructions. You don't have to buy bait. If you harvest plants and kill critters you can get it that way. Also fishing will give you bait for other types of water.

Since you are also new like me, when others refer to a Fishing spot it looks like a Fountain in a stream, lake , river or the sea. Go near the splashing and it will prompt you to use your fishing pole. Equip your bait and away you go. Watch that bobber when it goes down set the hook. Good luck out there.

I give this a 6/10 for trolling, not a particularly exciting topic but people still thought someone with 3 stars that's been on the forums since March last year (And has a knack for claiming a certain title) would not know about fishing.

One: you already have the rod.
Two: do not buy bait. Never! "Simple Bait" is a weak bait across all types. Instead, there are four basic baits that are free and easy to get. Each basic bait has a specialised type - on that type they will NEVER fail (that is, give you useless Used Bait). On the other types, they have the same weakened effect that Simple has in all cases.
Never, ever, EVER buy or use Simple Bait.

INSECT PARTS - RIVER
Torchbugs, butterflies, wasps. See these flitting about? Catch them.
'River' being any water you see moving, flowing - even if its in a large enough shape you'd think it were a lake.

GUTS - LAKE
Frogs, rats, chickens, bantam guar - tiny critters will drop guts in most cases, as will livestock.
'Lake' being static inland water. Many locations that, geographically, are rivers will actually be lakes by the bait system.

WORMS - OCEAN
Found on plant nodes (be they cloth, or alchemical herbs), as well as on the undead.
Ocean is coastal water.

CRAWLERS - FOUL
Found upon killing exoskeletal critters (eg: spiders, centipedes), as well as on the undead.
Foul water is typically swamp water, water by the dead/undead, Coldharbour 'water', as well as any water affected by lava flow.

Use your favoured search engine to look up ESO fishing guides for tips on how to recognise water types, find bait, where rare fish can be found, so on. Also check out ESOUI for useful fishing mods.

Yes you can use them to build a stone hut instead of buying a home from the crown store I built a bridge with mine that I can sell you if you want.

Yes, we already have some basic fishing rod, but where is the real, premium fishing rod +10 drop rate for the better people? It seems to me that cash shop kinda lags behind recent developments!
