rune farming

so after learning that rune levels are location based i moved on into auridon to farm runes but i cant seem to find any is there a particular area they spawn in or am i missing something? with khrnathi's roost all i had to do was run along the outside doesnt seem to have the same effect with auridon

Auridon's always been annoying because of the popularity of AD which means that resources there tend to be hard to find. The northern part of the island on the east side is probably the best location for resources but that's not really saying much. Rune Nodes are always painful to find though.

If your farming in a zone where everyone else is farming, your not going to find nodes all that often.

You might try the North end of the island, there are L10 to L14 mobs up there, and the Runes might drop from the nodes up there. Barring that, kill some mobs at the north end, farm some Glyphs from them, and Extract those Glyphs for the Runes. Undead and Dedra drop the most Glyphs.

Or, your going to have to get to Grahtwood, but that is a trick to get to unless you have finished the Auridon MQ, and you have to save the first town before you can go anywhere. If your in a Guild, you can have a guild mate port you up there or you can travel to a friend who is up there already.

My advice would be to to go shopping in the Guild Kiosks. Potencies are not the most common thing in there, but they do sell. You might have to visit a couple of places. They should sell for less than 100 gold each, more like 50 gold.

Also, Enchanters sell most of the common white glyphs already made.

You can get around saving Haven. You just have to travel along the east coast and then north at the eastern bay.
