Serious lack of content and updates.

This game has been out a year and has barely been updated at all. Can I ask what is with this game and the looong gaps in between content updates and patches.

Last patch was 2 weeks ago, the last game update was a couple months ago.

I keep checking back to see if this game has changed in the past few months but to my disappointment it has not.

The devs give next to no information about what's coming and when. It's keeping me from looking forward to this games future because of the lack of content and updates.

update this game. Make raids, more dungeons, new lands besides craglorn..

AND FIX PVP

You dont count the new "content" in the crown store? That's a full expansion worth of game of the year material right there.

I hope to see some action on the content front here in the not to far future, we have had some new features added to the game and features are not content.

As much as I am fan of the game and have tolerated being put on the shelf until console come out, even I have limit to my patience with nothing new to do, and lip service is not cutting any longer talk is cheap time to see some action..

Pretty much exactly what people are thinking and why people are leaving on PC, that and the fact that they focus on solo content more than ever... but who cares, ESO is now being worked on for consoles, and branded as "Elder Scrolls with friends" ( = not an mmo ). We're lucky if we get a paying DLC in less than 3 months ( so a full year after Upper Craglorn )

I keep checking the forum and the updates too, but I'm no longer subbed and I barely play these days, mostly to say "Hi" to friends and sometimes doing a dungeon.
We could still be playing without update... if PVP was working... ( I know I'm crazy )

Other games like wow releases new contents like once every 6 month and major updates and redesigns like once every 2 years and as far as i know eso has got some content updates. One was quite big and one contained a new zone and it has only been out for 1 year so far. I wouldn't expect any major redesign or huge content pack in that time and wont expect it to happen this year either. Maybe next year, not this :/

Fallout 4 is only 30 mins of Bethesda's 2 hour E3 conference, we may see what is to come for ESOTU during the other hour and a half.. *fingers crossed*

    Yeah, all very true.

But ESO committed to a much quicker content and update release schedule than that.

So it really is fair, and quite understandable, that players expect more frequent content drops, and it is fair that they are unhappy when that does not materialise.

ESO is suffering from gross over-promising and chronic under-delivery.

And the ONLY people to blame for that are the Devs/Zeni - NOT the players.

First thing is to fix all the console nonsense, no chat, gamertags, I'd say Veterank Ranks removal is before content too.

The updates will come now that the console versions are out. And honestly I think zos did the pc players wrong in a big way. They have made it very clear who the priority is. They got the pc base to pay while they finished it and then axed the sub for consoles. Just wrong on every level.

Whereas they did originally commit to an update every 6 - 8 weeks, this went out of the window when it went B2P.

And how long was it between update 5 and update 6? About 5 months? I can't recall.

All I know is I would really like Imperial City and Orsinium soon. It is nobody's fault but ZOS. But every time they say something, the next time they speak of it, the plans have changed.

I love the game, but I am content starved.

But B2P was 100% inevitable the moment they committed to a cross-platform release.
    That is from day 1.

Which would suggest they had no intention of ever committing to the release schedule they had promised their players.

Ah, but they committed to consoles as far back as 2013. Not saying that B2P wasn't always on their minds, but the console version was supposed to be around way before now.

I rather think that the greatest problem here is communication. Every time we are told something, it becomes another thing. ZOS are new, and they may have had the best of intentions at the start, but they simply could not keep to their words as a content update every 6 - 8 weeks was an unrealistic promise, as they stated it takes them around 4 months to build new zones.

Naivety is an odd thing. Not defending the lack of content. I am in the queue for those who want new areas and quests and zones and challenges. Even a couple of new veteran dungeons would have sufficed.

Good news for pc/mac players so just you guys know they remember you guys still after all this Console launch. Dont worry i am sure there will be something new content coming up soon.

I do hope they give us a patch

I do hope it is one that don't create more bugs.

Yeah, it must be perfectly enjoyable to do the exact same things in the game for 6+ months. After many months of hesitation, I eventually cancelled my sub - I won't be supporting a developer that ignores his players so badly.
