Mounts from ingame or Crowns?

Just basically asking which would be better, buying a mount in-game or through the crown store?

Depends on what you're after and your situation.

If you want to spend real money and like the look of one of the crown store mounts more, then go that way.

If you'd prefer to just save up in game currency and buy one of the standard horses then you might be waiting longer for a horse, but you won't be spending real world money on it.

If you have spare crowns and don't know what to spend them on then a mount probably isn't a bad choice for a new character.

I was planning on checking eso+ if its worth it and the 1500 crowns + 700 for launch account.

The only difference is appearance. Take advantage of the preview option. I bought an ingame horse for 10,000 gold. It does the exact same things as any other mount.
But man I do love my Golden-Eyed Guar.
Just PLEASE do not give in to hype of LTO mounts if you are not sure if you like it. If you don't know, then you actually don't.

i don't know what you mean by "LTO" mounts.

How different in stats is the one in the item mall, the 10k+ and the 32K ones ? dunno about the other price but the one more expensive but in game.

I was thinking if I was going to have Alts, going the crown store would make each of my characters own 1 mount.

    LTO = limited time offer

All mounts are purely cometic. The riding skill is tied to your character, not your mount. Whether you buy it for in game gold or for crowns, 10k or 42k, they work exactly the same and are usable by all characters on your account.

A mount you purchase is actually an accountwide unlock in your collections menu. This is always the same unlock, independend of the type of mount you buy or the source. The speed. inventory upgrade and strenght of the mount depends on stats that are soulbound and independend of the mount.

So mount is purely cosmetic and accountwide.
Stats are soulbound and independent of the actual mount you are using.

there we go. but buying one from the item mall guarantees my alts will also have a copy of that mount.

All of your characters will share all of your mounts whether they are bought with gold or crowns. Mounts are account wide

I'll try it again. Mounts are accountwide unlocks, regardless of the way you buy it.

The riding skills are souldbound. That got nothing to do with the mount, but with the person riding the mount. These skills have to be upgraded on a "per character" base.

That's good advice @rajaniemiorama_ESO . So far the 2 LTO mounts (the senche panther and the senche leopard) were interesting to me, and I hemmed and hawed over whether to buy them. I just wasn't sure if I liked them enough to buy them. In the end I came to the same conclusion: if I'm not sure if I like them enough, then that means that I don't like them enough. Of course, if I didn't already have the striped senche for my striped khajiit, I would have bought one of the LTO senches in a heartbeat...
