So thought i would scope out eso on ps4 and see how the game was doing. While running around in the EP beginning town everything was fine until someone started blasting a *** over their mic, i wasn't using a headset so the sound was coming out of my tv and of course my 10 year old daughter happened to venture into the room at the same time. By the time i managed to me the tv the damage had been done, and of course i can't tell who is talking without opening the menu. From here on I'll make sure it is turned off as soon as i log on, but it sucks that I'm forced to eliminate the only means of communication that was provided to us because of this type of behavior.

Sorry, just wanted to vent and possibly forewarn other parents of this issue.

    Your kids will be fine. Didn't you know that online anything will bring the online cracks. I just wish there was a way to mute it. I mean if someone wants to chat with me than they can send me a chat request.

    I thought there was a way to leave the area chat? Maybe I'm wrong

    There is! Get on horse and ride as fast as you can away from them. area chat is only proximity based.

    There is! Get on horse and ride as fast as you can away from them. area chat is only proximity based.

    While that is an option as well, I'm pretty sure you can go into the voice chat window and "leave chat"

    Don't know why they filtered p o r n but a 10 year old shouldn't have to hear this but the only way to prevent it is to have area chat off, which is what I'll be doing from here on out.
