Did I over use my skill points? Please help

So I'm only a level 8 khajiit nb and I collected all the skyshards I'm like the second place in went but that's besides the point. I am currently using ambush 1, assassin's blade 4, death stroke 1, shadow cloak, flurry 4 (which I'm thinking about morphing) and veiled strike 1. I'm trying to go for stamina but I wanted to throw in a few Magika abilities for when I get low. But I also have strife 4, agony 3 and twin slashes 4 which I don't really use that much now. But I'm just curious did I waste some of my skill points? I know later I'm sure I can respec but I feel like I just wasted a lot. Yet I think maybe they will come in handy later for pvp. What do you think? Also have you ever made any low level bad mistakes and how did you fix it and also do you think what I am using is decent? What do you think I should be using and is there anything I should get in the future? I use duel wield incase that matters thank you and please give me anything that could help me along the way.

    I'm not really into theorycrafting so won't offer any advice on the 'proper' skills an NB should use, but personally I wouldn't worry about it at level 8, if you're able to progress steadily and aren't struggling then it's hard to 'waste' points. I know the feeling, and at times I have respecced in the early teens and later on realised it was just a waste.

    Don't fret, spend the points on skills you want to explore, as long as you can level happily then later on will be the time to look for the 'perfect' build .. and by then you'll have enough gold simply from questing and selling trash items that the cost of a respec won't be noticeable, trust me. :)

    You will have enough points in the end that no, you have not wasted points. During start you'll get those points fast anyway through leveling and skyshards.

    As NB I have all NB skills unlocked and morphed, all DW skills, all Bow skills, some fighters and mages and undaunted and alliance war <draws breath> and woodworking, enchanting, provisioning all maxed. And I still have unspent skillpoints. So don't worry.

    Syntse gave you a really good reply already but one thing I wanted to add is having at least one skill from each of your main class lines unlocked and on the bar will help you level all three up while playing.

    It's also worth wearing at least one bit of each armour you're not specialising in so that you gain some experience for those skill lines.

    Nothing further to add to @Turelus and @Syntse .

    There are loads of skill points in the game, from skyshards, some completed missions, PvE stuff, alliance war rankings, the list goes on:}

    it is best to consider what you want your build to be from early game so you can progress towards it.

    And have fun, you can always respec if you mess up or wanna try differing builds.

    In the new meta of 1.6, stamina builds for NB`s are the way to go, high dps and can be pretty fun to play.

    Try doing 2H/Bow/DW, you can solo pretty much anything in Crag and do well in PvP also.
