Should Experience Point Boosters Affect Champion Point Gains?

Glory
Glory

ZOS announced today the new Experience Point Boosters found both in-game and in the crown store. This poll is not meant to judge whether in-game or crown store boosts are better, but is looking to see how players feel about the fact that these buffs affect Champion Point gain.

My personal opinion: I am super excited that they are introducing XP Pots, as leveling both non-veteran and veteran has becoming extremely tedious (especially on alternate characters). I am extremely disappointed in the inclusion of Champion Point gains, as this means that these 100% affect a player's endgame progress. Basically, these potions go from 'convenience' items to must-haves else you fall behind everyone using them. I understand that people gain champion points at different paces, but these Boosters effectively put people in a position where they must buy them (real money or in game) in order to stay "competitive." In my opinion, I would love to see these Boosters come into game, minus the Champion Point games to be a convenience item and not a P2W item (be it paying with real money or gold).

Im not worried about what everyone else is doing. So them "getting ahead" doesnt mean anything to me. Eventually they will hit the cap and eventually I will too.

I would somehow like to see only in-game EXP boosters affect Champion Point gains, but only up to some kind of limit. Like, once you gain 5 champion points in 24 hours they no longer apply, or something. Or once you have over 360 points they don't apply. Just some kind of limiter to keep things from getting too crazy too fast.

    Boosters were not released today

Playing Outleveled Content is not that much fun. My VR12.2 is still in a VR9 zone. None of the loot is worth anything to me, and the mobs are easy. I have a VR6 in the 3rd zone of Silver, she is going to be even worse as I expect her to be at VR14 long before Gold is done. This is with ESO Plus, so pretty much the same thing as the Booster Pots. So, no I am not doing myself that much of a favor.

I am not sure anyone who uses the XP Boosters are doing themselves that much of a favor, unless they are skipping content and just grinding for PvP/Trials.

Are you saying they are in game now?

Edit: There are no exp boost pots in the crown store OR in game... so why are you saying ZoS released them today in the crown store and in the game?

I would buy a reduce xp gain by 20% potion for 1-50, They messed up the main campaign so much that it actually takes a lot of effort to not get overleveled fast .

    Of course they should.
Of course everyone who grinded their CP up "the hard way" before will be pretty pissed that it will now be easier for others to catch up... or that you now have to use them, too, to maintain your "lead". Boohoo, cry me a river. See if I care.

Think they were mined longer ago than that even. And even confirmed to make an appearance. This is the first official confirmation of how they will work to my knowledge, though.

Being that they are/will be available in game from crafting I have no issues with this as everyone will have access, free access to them if they choose.

As far as I'm concerned, I totally agree with @ThatNeonZebraAgain, because I think there should be some kind of limit.
