Should leader boards be by character or by account?

Currently if someone levels several alts they can re-run trials or vDSA and get on a leader board up to 8 separate times (weekly or all-time). Once you know what it takes to get on, you can do it with a different character. I don't think people go into it thinking they want to kick more people off or want their name on there multiple times. They most likely just want to get weekly rewards for separate characters. I think that's smart but the result is people taking up way more spots on a leader board than they should.

Edit: I'm strictly referring to how many times a person can be on the leader board. Not whether you can run with alts or not. The times to beat would be by account. If your alt makes a time for that board, you would still get a weekly reward. Your best account score would only be posted and count toward the top x scores.

Note: This is not coming from someone that can't make a leader board score and is mad. It is a discussion I've had with friends and didn't seem right to us.

It didn't seem right to limit a players ability to enjoy the game because they are skilled at it. The only thing they could do that would help would be a weekly lockout per character though the best players could still leaderboard multiple times. However, weekly lockouts would shine a brIt tee spotlight on the lack of content.

I think it's unfair that one char can block a whole "position" on the leaderboards. One account = one entry would be best, otherwise you just screw others out of the rewards. That being said, I don't play pve anyway because it's *** boring.

I don't want to take away people's rewards by running alts. That would punish people for the work they put in. I'd just like to give more people opportunities to be on the board.

I think it's unfair to say I can only play one character and one role for the leaderboard. Every player has the same opportunity to get on the leaderboard.

Practice to get ones scores up high enough. No need to punish stronger players in order to lower the competition level.

It's already set up for everyone to have an opportunity. They just needs to practice to improve their scores. Everyone has the same opportunity without limiting he many characters they can play.

What I do with my multiple VR14 characters is my business, not anyone else's. The idea that a person should be locked out of using alts for content is laughable at best.

There is nothing wrong with leaderboards in terms of different characters in one account making it. While it doesn't seem right to you, the majority think it's fine.

If the interface stays as it is, then Gamertag/PSN ID is better, since it's used everywhere already.
If they listen to what 92% of their players want (according to my poll) and change it to display character names and not gamertags/psn ids everywhere, then character names is better.

So burgers it is.
