Do you want to fix in the center of the view the character while in 3rd person?

Dear ESO staff, it's very bad to spend 93€ for the most incredible game and afterwards find out that the 3rd person view is the worst ever played in a game. We have the target-pointer in the center of the screen (as it would be) and the character (the most important thing) on the left-side of the screen..........as it would be a secondary thing......... Is this a joke?
I understand that ESO creators made 3rd person view this way just to make easier and cleaner the way to fight with the target-pointer, but it makes all worse honestly. And a lot of people discussed about this ESO defect before.
So an idea could be to center the character in the middle of the screen and to make the target-pointer see-through, namely a bit transparent when the target-pointer overlaps the character image. And then make the target outline red-colored and see-through while in combat (like a lot of other games made).
This would make all more natural and would place this game on top of the game history imho.
My most sincere greetings.

You should already be able to change horizontal camera drift under video options. I've played with it on PC, and I would assume the console has it also.
Default is centred at a distance, over the right shoulder when close-up. Negate the drift completely to stay entirely centred.

This is an old complaint; the drift option was put in months ago ;)

Dude i'd love this option, but on consoles there's nothing similar. I play on Playstation 4.

Character is off-centre so you can see what you're hitting. But since the option to move the camera position exists on PC, it should absolutely-no-excuses exist on console as well.

I'm voting no but if they make any adjustments it should only be to when holding the d-pad down using the thumb stick (up/down) to zoom in and out ANd (left/right) to move the cursor.

I don't think ppl realize that centering the camera will throw off your attacks or block VOS

I would be inclined to agree with that reasoning, but since it's already possible to do it on PC, it should also be possible on console. There's no reason to have a built-in camera setting on PC that is unavailable on console.

Centering the camera blocks nothing useful and binds your character to their attacks so they seem less "floaty." Having your character off to the left or right breaks immersion for many people, including me.

In fact, having your character off to the left actually inhibits some types of movement, like passing through an opening. If you try to center your camera on the opening, which is intuitive, your character can get stuck up against the wall to the left. If you try to center your character in the opening, then your camera can easily be pointing at the wall then suddenly zoom all the way in then back out as you pass through. It's immersion-breaking and not good design.

    this

This adds nothing useful to the discussion. It's on console. It's going to remain on console.

Yes that centres the camera, but it also zooms the camera out (obviously). On PC you can move the camera but keep the same zoom level, and that should be available on console too.

I think it's the best third person I've played in a while - it's off center for a reason.

You can move everything on PC, I myself am OCD and I had to fix it so my character was perfectly centered, before this option my character being to the left a bit drove me crazy so I feel your pain, I am sure they will add this option in the upcoming patches.

It certainly takes getting used to. I feel like my character has had too many beers.
