PS4 & PC players can use alt key codes in names...XBOX ONE players only get a few symbols

On PS4 and PC when it comes to naming your character the sky is the limit. You can literally pull up an alt key code website and go to town. However, with XBOX ONE you are limited to symbols like periods and questions marks. I'm not sure why there is so much more freedom on PC and PS4 when it comes to naming characters.

..... Why would you actually want a symbol, number, or any thing such as that in your character name? I can understand stuff like à, ñ, í, and the like due to foreign languages use them, but why do you want 3, 9, ╝, ♀, ┌, π, ↓, or the like in your character name?

English is not my first language, Finnish is.
Please don't heap on me for grammar problems.

There is no such thing as a "taken name" in this game. There are "taken" names.

For instance I got Kaide on PS4 along with Kaìde, Kaíde, etc.

On XBOX ONE the only option was Kaide....and yes...it's taken. However, I wish this was like Diablo and no names were ever taken...because every name was attached to an account. The setup they have is interesting....people only see your gamer-tag...yet you have a screen name that's hidden.

Some of us would pay real life money to reserve names. I'm surprised MMORPG's haven't caught onto that yet. For instance in World of Warcraft I used the name Kaine for almost a decade across 3 servers...I'd pay a lot of money for that name and a few others...but companies will never catch on and instead its a sprint for kids to grab as much land (names) as they can at launch...then get bored...and quit while the trophy names collect dust...instead of others players putting them to use

I guess I can put spaces between every letter for whichever name I want lol

That is the crisis on our hands.

Not only is Kaide taken on XBOX....but some guy out there is sitting on "Tony"....the name I needed for my orange Khajit with Tiger Stripes
