"What waits beneath" Important items?

I initially skipped completing the quest, and told myself that I would come back to it it later on. However, when I tired to finish it, the quest indicator would not lead me to the right place when it said "summon the dragon priest." I abandoned the quest, but now I'm wondering if abandoning it was a mistake, being that it's one of the first quests? I feel like I might have skipped on some important items for my character.

No quest reward is an important item for your character. As you go along the game, you'll find that you can either craft or find better gear from things like mob drops or dungeons than you ever get from quest completions. I would say that the only quests that offer somewhat good rewards are the main quest and guild quests, as they can sometimes give you jewelry with some hard to find enchantments on them.

You kind of need this quest if you want to complete the Bleakrock isles achievement. "Hero of Bleakrock" or something like that.
