Group Finder (PS4)

Just curious, has anyone successfully formed a group using the Group Finder tool on the PS4 yet?

Yeah, I had to try Banished Cell today 5 times, and I found a group in less than 5 min every time.

well i have a lvl 19 sorcerer, on windows i've done 1 or 2 dungeons (cant remember) but in ps4 group finder all dungeons apear locked. its a bug or i havent done something? (i've been with my char inside de sewers dungeon already in the ps4 version)

Strange.

I am a PC transferee, and I have (on many different occasions) queued up as a healer for 'any' normal dungeon to give newbies a helping hand (only healing wise)...however, I have never successfully been able to secure a group...perhaps Vet players are not given priority in normal dungeon queues...

How exactly do you create a group on PS4? I'm not sure how to invite people - especially as there is no text entry and peoples PSN names are mostly crazy!

@Dorjee What level is the character your trying to join dungeons on just a thought maybe if its a high level toon there may not be many people at that level yet (as mostly only pc transfers would be above 20-25 yet)

With extreme difficulty!

For example I've either, a) loitered around outside the entrance of the Banished Cells and asked people whether they wanted to join up for a group (via emote, as voice chat was down - we looked like crazy bots!) - I've then manually invited them using the options interact thingy; or b) added a person as a friend (standing in front of me), and then invited them from my friend's list (silent dungeon experience, as group/area chat was also down on this occasion).

All a bit long winded IMO.

I am V7, however, I was under the impression that if I queued up for a normal dungeon (regardless of my level) the group finder system would still attempt to pair me up with any level looking for such a dungeon. On reflection, perhaps group finder is only attempting to search for players similar level to me.

I wonder how we are supposed to find a raid for Cyrodil now. No one seems to use it. Btw, keep it in mind that not play this game 10 hour per day, so masses are probably at first dungeons now.

What if, when you enter to Cyrodil, you see NPCs as recruiters for current leaders and you could choose which one to use?

I have used it quite a lot on Xbox.

Sometimes it's quick, sometimes not. A lot of the time as mentioned above, people are grouped but have no idea where to go, and how to get there. So often it just becomes a case of one or two, prompting others over voice, or the group disbanding within minutes.

After a wait of over an hour, it can be quite frustrating.

I think the main problem irrespective of console is the fact that the Group Finder is hardly advertised.

It needs two changes.

1. Needs to be advertised.
2. Incentives for running a dungeon using it on a daily basis would certainly increase it's popularity.

Took me 2 hours to get a group for an instance only for the tank to never enter as he couldn't find the entrance. It needs work to say the least. Especially with no other efficient way of grouping due to no chat box.

@Dorjee I'm pretty sure it won't queue you with lower level players, I also couldn't get a group with my VR11 healer.

I attempted to group with a guildmate (level 12?) then went to use the group finder... everything was locked. Tried me as leader or him, would not unlock. Tried without us being grouped.. we could use it. I'm thinking this means it won't allow regular level (1-50) players to use the group finder when they are more than 5 levels apart.. probably because the finder wouldn't be able to find people "within 5 levels" to group with.

Had issues on XBOX last night with me and a friend trying to do normal fungal at 26 and 27 ( we skipped it before, but it was scaling to us and we needed help) finally found someone else at 27 wandering around outside it and got it done.

We are a bit ahead of the curve on Xbox at the moment. We tried for level appropriate dungeons (2 in a row) and got a 3rd person within 5 mins and a 4th within 10.

A friend /guildie got 4x appropriate level Fungal groups in a row within 5 mins each time .. but they were all terrible and wiped /quit.

As a level 41 Sorcerer ive done a grand total of 4 dungeons. Takes an age to find a group and then longer for people to understand how to go to dungeon or that they have to manually teleport to it using the party settings.

Most groups just dissolve before even stepping foot in dungeon unfortunately. Xbox One EU.

It's been nearly impossible to locate a group using the group finder after the last update..

This is what I get ^ A four man group will form in around a half hour or less but I've seen no way to travel to the dungeon instance (are we supposed to "hoof" it?). Every group I've been in seems to disband soon after anyway.

Why isn't there a way to travel to the dungeon instance once the group is formed? The maps are so big and spread out it seems silly to have people travel to them on their own. And if I pick any dungeon it doesn't even tell me which dungeon I'm supposed to travel to when the group forms, what am I missing??

You have to select whether you are a tank, mage, or dps before you can select which dungeon.

On PS4 I'll log in, enter the queue, and play for hours without it finding me a group. Something is definitely up.
