Confused.. Question about dailies

Is there any reason I would be getting a different order of dailies to my friend? I find it kinda silly that I cannot play with my friends because we have different quests.

What dailies are you talking about? Be a little more specific.

then one of you has a quest from yesterday or a few days ago. if you both got the quest today, you have the same quest.
just abandon it and get the quest again, and you will both have the same quest.

I'm betting this was the issue. And lol.

Aren't the Cryodil repeatable quests random which one you get? Could that be what they are referring to?

If you're refering to the Cyrodiil ones, just let one player pick it up and then share it. Done.

    There are 4 Dayils Types.

    Cyrodiil PVP Daylis - Random
    Cyrodiil PVE Daylis - Random
Undaunted Daylis - all get the same
    Crafting Daylis - Random

No, it's not. Because the Cyrodiil quests ARE NOT DAILIES. You just keep doin em and they repeat eventually. You are not limited to doing one per day.

Lynix as was suggested above if you are picking up one of the random Cyrodil quests just have one group member accept the quest and then share it so you are all on the same. They are random to get people exploring across the zone rather than having fighting concentrated to just one area.

Crafting ones it is fine that they are random, as you do not actually have to adventure you just make the items it requires in the town so you are still together even if you are not making the exact same items.

No, it's not. Because the Cyrodiil quests ARE NOT DAILIES. You just keep doin em and they repeat eventually. You are not limited to doing one per day.

I think it is strange that they are not shared amongst a group more easily though, as you are grouped to play together. While not stupid, I agree, it is one of those things I think they could have handled more smoothly.

Someone get the quest then share it with everyone else. That seems pretty easy to me.

Which Pve ones are dailies? Because I can sit in Cheydinhal all day and do those quests and repeat them over and over. And from the boards, if I pick up "scout such and such" and turn it in, guess what? I get another quest. UNLESS like the crafting dailies if you are one behind I sometimes see another pop up after I turn in. If that's the case it is why I may be confused.

You might have noticed you never repeated the same quest in a day. Each town has a set of 10 different quests - there's an achievement for completing them. As I said, you can do the set only once per day. :)

Cyro qs are daylis, kill 20 Temp etc are daylis, you can complet just 1 per day, (meen 5, 1 temp, 1dk etc)
you can do 2 or 3 scroll quest at day, 2-3 capture quest
Scouting Mission are indeed not limited.

Crazy that in all this time I've never been in Cyrodil long enough to have completed all the dailies to not know this. Learned something at least :)

Cyrodiil PvE dailies are random so that the possibility of gank-groups is reduced. That being either enemy players waiting at the quest objective to gank the questers, or a large group of questers all working on the same quest and destroying any other players that they pass.

The Cyrodiil PvE quests are definitely dailies, because I've done all 10 in both Chorrol and Bruma in one day, and not been able to do them again until the next day.

Other than one of you getting the quest and sharing it, as suggested above, you can also keep taking and abandoning the quests from the quest giver until you get the one you want. Each quest giver only has five total quests to give, so it doesn't take long to find the one you want.

I just think it's odd that you have to go to the tedious effort of doing this. I play with my GF and although I love her very much sometimes she doesn't quite grasp gaming concepts like I do. This makes it really annoying because I either have to explain to her to not pick up anything and I will share it and/or get her to share. Both are tedious because my GF being very new to the game relies on me and forgets things quickly meaning this will be a daily thing. Simple solution is to just have a type of group detection to give people in the same group the same quest.

At one point I think the game asked if you wanted to share a quest if you were in a group. Not sure if it still does though.

Yes, there is a setting to auto-share quests, because I have friends who have that set up. Just have your GF turn that on, and have her always pick the quest.

I've done the Cyrodill quests at Guild events with groups of up to 10 players and we never have a problem as long as we designate an official "Quest Picker-Upper".
