My friend can't get the pledge to work. We put it in our quick slot, but nothing happens when we use and are pointing at each other. Any insight?

You have to be in a church in whatever town you're in, standing in front of the 'altar of mara' in order to get it to work.

So you have to get the imperial edition to be able to get the pledge of mara or is there another way?
