Clumsiness

I don't know if any of you are as clumsy as me, but I tend to open the map/notification window etc. unintentionally while I'm engaged in combat often leading to me screwing up. What I'm suggesting is an option to disable these features only while engaged in combat, just like how you can't get on your mount while in combat.

This might already be available for all I know. Just thought I'd put it out there.

Share your opinions.

If its an option I would be open to that but I can see the issue when you are running away from baddies of some sort and trying to look at the map very quickly to see your route of escape.

Happens to me, too One moment I'm fighting, next moment I'm in a menu with a red conbat warning line around lol

Also, when I want to open the map (outside of combat), I cannot count anymore how often I opened the Crown Store instead.. I never pressed the ";" before the Store came out, and now all the time, all of a sudden^^

Yes, a remap is in order for sure. The only one I'm too stubborn to move is my ultimate, and I STILL hit that one on accident.

I remapped the key from the Alt key. It was too easy to hit when trying to move around. I have it on Tab and now I only sometimes open a character window. When it was on Alt, I opened the window just about every fight.

I might change it to the ~ key. I think Escape might be another good choice, both keys are less likely to be selected, and some people like the Tab key for Targeting, where I don't do it that way.

I would often open character menu(C) when trying to synergize(X) during battle. A very lethal mistake. A simple changing of keybindings nipped that issue in the bud.

Like when you hit 'E' to search a corpse or harvest something, but it doesn't register, and you already hit 'R' to loot all before realizing, so you waste you ultimate. UGH.

I changed my Ultimate keybind to 'T', as I NEVER use the scroll through quests on the quest-tracker thing. My blood pressure thanked me.

I remapped my Ultimate to the 6 Key, and my QS key is 7. R is now for Ready/Sheath Weapon and of course Loot All

Quickslot was the worst as I would use up a stack of potions just walking around the world.....

LOL exactly, when I search and then take all and the R doesn't register but for the ultimate. Ahhh, good suggestion on T. I'll try that out.

Good to see I'm not the only clumsy one! Suppose I'll try remapping my keys to see if that'll help.

Edit: Responded thinking this was console question... I map inventory to my alt key then use mouse to click w/e menu I need... and map ultimate to T it helps imo.

It'll help a lot. I'm pretty clumsy too. I was always firing off potions when I didn't intend to, bringing up the character sheet when I wanted to do a synergy and so on. Remapping solved much of this this.

If you all would see my keymapping.. I'm still playing like in the good old times using the CURSOR buttons to move around, while I do use the 1-5 keys for skills, S for weapon swap, X for Synergy, Q for potions etc., but W for sheathe/unsheath (like in Morrowind)... and I'm playing on an ergonomical keyboard which is pretty wide.

Theoretically, it's a mess, but I am/was a pianist for decades, so I can hit keys (grand piano or computer keyboard) within a range of 1,5 meters blind.. at least most of the time, like I posted somewhere above^^ The other problem is that I can't do both using skills and moving around at the same time, but I'm extremely quick
