Any way to center your Character on the screen? (In the console version, I know PC has it)

brandon.coker101_ESO
Anyone found a way to do this? I'm running it on PS4 atm but can't find a way to do this in the options....

The place to look is in Options for the Game and see if they have a Camera Section. It might be part of another sub section or maybe it's own subsection.

No. The console third person looks over the right shoulder of the character.

Wow, that's just stupid not to add the option to change it.

It bugs me, I admit it. I have changed it on PC, but it took forever to get that option on PC at all. A lot of options are not available on the console and what is there seems to be simplified from what I am used to. I don't think that the camera adjustments available on the PC should be moved over to the console. Too complicated. What they need are some preset camera angles that can be selected, like the templates that they use for the controller.

On PC, an addon is not needed to center the camera. It's part of the base camera control options now. However, on console... dat sucks.

You can zoom the camera out by holding down on the D pad and right stick. The farthest out will put it into a chase camera view. As is the default is way to close for me. Not playing Gears of War here. :)

They have the camera controls to adjust FOV, including the switch between first and third so you can see what you are doing. They also included head bob settings. What they did not do is put that rather complicated offset and position stuff where you can move the camera up and down and to either side. This is a good thing, if they can replace it with presets (templates) that the player can select.

Huh? It's not that difficult and it's already been done on PC. It's just moving the character over...we aren't revolutionizing the game here.

Basically you're saying that console players aren't smart enough to have their own options to adjust things like controls and the fov position and so on.

Same thing Zenimax said on why they took out remapping of controls and such.

I just don't get this attitude that console players are monkeys who shouldn't have options to change their own controls and centering of character and so on.

How is this possibly a "good thing" ?

Fairly sure my 6 year old who builds ridiculous things in Minecraft could figure out a FoV slider.

How in the hell is that "complicated" ?

I was wondering that myself. I didn't really see anything "rather complicated" about the camera offset and positioning when I found those camera settings on PC.

No, I am not saying that console players aren't smart enough.

I am saying that what they implemented on the PC is complicated and they have taken steps on the console side to simplify things like this. On the console, a template setup will definitely work better and they can offer a few camera angles that I am sure will connect with the majority of players.

The console UI allows adjustment of both the first and third person FOV.

I raged when there was no menu for this in the options! I just want to be zoomed right out so I can see around me... I will try what was mentioned above tonight though, hopefully that works!

If that works I will be very happy :) Not sure why they couldn't just scale the FOV slider to this secret button combo?

FOV and zoom are a little different, but having a zoom slider would be nice.

If you press down on the D-pad and pull back on the right analog stick, that will make the camera move back and center behind your character in 3rd person.

REALLLY far out though. D-Pad + right analog stick = zooming. I'd like a way to keep zoomed in fairly close with the camera behind character third person, like Skyrim allowed.
