Oceanic or Australian/NZ server? Now that console game is released?

Is there any talks about this? The ping on this game is horrendous and I know for a fact it is not my internet, the ping will be around 250, then it goes to 600, then to 999+, it's making this game unplayable which is pissing me off, I WANT TO PLAY!

Dont think so.... would have been nice to seen a server named as Oceanic though for all the Oceanic people.

If your ping is jumping like that there's another problem. As an Oceanic I play with a stable 300 ping most of the time, and to be honest that's fine; I can PvP and do any PvE content without trouble.

An Oceanic server would completely kill the game for Oceanics, there simply isn't enough of us to populate even 5% of a server. Unless ESO becomes 20x as popular (which I don't see happening ever), say NO to Oceanic servers.

ping going 999+ is a bug..at least in my case i was getting that but at same time i was casting my skill with no delay..use ping reduction soft wars like wtfast....it is very good i am using it and my ping is 83 in cirydill.
i do not think they have enough oceanic players to add new server for them..but they might.. no harm in asking i guess.

There will be no Oceanic/Australia/NZ server (or even confirmed in the future). I play in NZ, and my ping is within the 250-300 jumping to 999+ sometimes. However, it doesn't necessarily destabilize my gameplay. I get freezes once in a while, especially at more populated venues like Rawlkha and Grahtwood Elden Root.

Unfortunately for us kiwis here, internet is not necessarily the best, but it's still plausible to play.

    Would ping reduction programs help?

Plays out of New Zealand & generally speaking lag is not a problem (non pvp player) even with my connection being adsl. We will never see an Oceanic server for one reason alone, player numbers.
Also play gw2 on the NA megaserver without too many issues.

I'm from Sydney, Aus, and playing on the NA server, and it isn't TOO bad. Its only ever shocking when there is like 100 people in a town, or hanging around a wayshrine. Other than that, its not too bad.

I'm in Aus, and play on both NA and EU. I don't have problems, though I don't expect to have a ping of 15 or anything.
Like the couple of posters above, I only ever have any issues when there are tons of people around a wayshrine or in town, especially when they're mass spamming abilities.

If you're in Australia, NZ or Asia and you're getting an 83ms ping, your software is lying to you. It's simply not possible to get such low latency from over here. If you're playing in North America and getting an 83ms ping, then your experience really doesn't apply to this thread.

My experience is on a good day, the game hovers around 250 - 300ms latency. I play in Taiwan but my pings to servers are about the same as my guild mate's in Australia.

The Oceanic players on WoW only had to wait 10 years for WoW to put servers in Australia. So ZOS still can wait eight more years and still beat WoW's record. :)
