Dual-Play Characters for sale on the store - now an idea by popular request

Wouldn't it be awesome if they sold a character type on the store that would allow progress to be synched between PC and Console? Essentially Pwnan The Barbarian char on PC and Console would have differing current bag inventory, equipped items, banked possessions, guilds, etc. but the same skills/morphs, level/ vet rank, champ points...

We could play on the PC when the living room is occupied by TV zombies and not worry about the disconnected character progress. 8-)

Yeah, but wife or daughter playing ESO in Living room kills that. Plus, multiple Xbox consoles? You're just being snarky.

I like to be snarky, but that wasn't what I was aiming for there. I assumed "TV zombies" wouldn't be using the console.

However, if you had multiple Xbox's you could play with them.

From a database perspective this would be a nightmare. What's the record of truth? Which server overwrites the other?

I'm not saying to keep the accounts synched in every way. There would be a lot of details to work out, no doubt, but keeping a pool of achieved XP is not so daunting. It would be kind of fun to log in on either the console or PC and receive an immediate matching bump. Heck you could keep it simple at first and make the user allocate attributes, skill/champion choices etc. on both PC and console separately. By having this be a special type of dual character slot, you are starting both at level 1, at the same time.

Please no, with all the add-on abuse that can happen in a PC environment I hope this never comes. Bots and abuse can happen on any platform but from my experience they are far more likely to occur with PC vs console.

The best thing would be PS4 where it will allow you remote play to a Playstation TV or PS Vita. Also pretty soon xbox will allow you to play Xbox One games on a Windows 10 PC streaming.
