GKO is a small social guild for mature, friendly players looking to experience Tamriel with a sense of wonder and fun.

Tamriel! This place is massive! And full of curiosities and monstrosities. And feck! so many cats! Join us and we'll help you to slow the fudges down and stop the grind - so that you get a chance to see that.
And see all the cats.

The mandate of the guild is to *impulsively* dabble in Roleplay, PvE and PvP and - by taking time to experience everything - really get the most from the game. We have a few cunning twists to make the most out of the game that we'd like to share with you - but really we do most things with humour - We're not really out to be the best at anything in particular - just to have the most fun doing it.

Guild rule is "Be excellent to each other" and that's it really.
How is that applied?
  • We don't let in the griefers or whiners that tend to clog the other channels.
  • We're always happy to help
  • Resources are pixels - you'll see things like crafting books being passed freely amongst us.
  • Opt-in RP and guild activities. Guilds shouldn't be a chore - some players like to be lone wolves, and we get that. It's ok if you want to go off the grid.
  • No internal competition/drama. The pressure is off - we're all here to have fun.
  • On-topic conversations. We discuss the moral choices in quests, not who went out clubbing this weekend. Sensible chat helps immersion, and you didn't come to ESO to hear about some stranger's bad hair day.

PRIMARY GUILD: Social / PvE / PvP / Exploring: Ebonheart Pact

This is where our heart is. We don't want to be the worlds biggest guild - but time after time we seem to run into nice players who struggle a bit with the rather anti-social aspect of the bigger guilds: YES we understand that trading is important - and PvP and hte mix/max scene. But seriously at least one of our five guild Choices should be devoted to mmaking the game a better place for us to be in.

SECONDARY GUILD: Hardcore / NPC / RP / Munchkin:

So you think you've seen it all? So you want to make a few mule alts and wonder how to get their skills up for crafting or exploration? Here's one way for the seriously determined (mental? hardcore?) player:

We have created an optional "NPC" part of the guild, where basically our (crafitng/mule) alts will function at the NPC Level, without superpower skills or armour - only basic mouse button attacks and the occasional (to be decided) passive. Extra kudos for bare knuckle fighting!
this is an excellent opportunity for RP, as well as a totally different way to view Tamriel.

Here are some of the things to do that suddenly become far more exciting when you:
  • Live as a thief or explorer or crafter or trader or farmer - with only your wits to guide you.
  • Search for shards in deep dungeons, or combat world bosses as if Your life depended on it.
  • Attempt quests and missions entirely unprepared for what is coming.
  • Live With the odds stacked entirely against you - and watch Tamriel grow is size as the grind falls away and you immerse yourself in the world.
  • Roleplay as an NPC and watch in amusement as one by one other players get confused - why can't they pickpocket that NPC? Why is that NPC suddenly speaking to me? Since when did NPCs start stealing from other NPCs

Guild FAQ:

How big is GKO? Are you a mega guild?

Feck no! GKO is tiny.. We were around since Day 1 but went dormant for the interim. Right now we are just coming out of hibernation With TU - mainly because it seems even more difficult to find casual friendly guilds that aren't obsessing with the various grinds, and GKO can really serve the need we have to find Nice people to play with.

Crazy name - are you a Girls only clan?

This isn't a girls only clan, but the officers are girls. Men are welcome to apply as well: The name is just a wee challenge to all those "brotherhoods" going around these days :pensive: What might be different is that we lock down the locker room chat pretty quick - so if you're looking for a Family oriented group, or just a quiet place to bring Your BF/GF/pet cat/click where applicable come and say hi. There's no downward age limit, so long as the guild rule (see above) is applied. We assume everyone is a sensible adult until proven otherwise.

Do you have a guild store?

Nopes - we are only a handful of players right now.

Can a small guild be useful?

Absolutely. Large guilds struggle with intimacy - we sincerely believe that this game is much more enjoyable when you share it with one or two players who enjoy your company, than with twenty who don't care who takes your place.

You say the guild wentdormant - what's to stop it doing that again?

You! Us! The fact we can get it together as a group and build towards each other's game experiences. ESO has changed for the better in a lot of ways - and perhaps most importantly of all in the fact that sharing the game with other people is now a pleasure instead of a chore.

Do you have a guild website? Teamspeak

Ugg maintenance and commitment. Yes I made a site but really I just want to play the game - not spend hours adminning a web forum. Anyone with a love for that stuff is welcome to dive in and help out - but part of GKO's appeal should be the low maintenance factor. We're not forcing ppl to post to a game site.

Do you have a guild crest

Nope.. we need a few more people and frankly I would make everyone wear a pink cat so maybe someone else should take the design decisions here?

If this sounds interesting then send an ingame IM @Deloria and we'll be happy to meet you :)
