Baked potato recipe?

After over a month of playing I am lvl 47 in general and lvl 50 at provisioning and I know over 100 recipes (got some achievement for that), yet I I am still unable to finish my first provisioning writ. For that I need a baked potato recipe. I know (and have) a twice baked potato recipe, but that's not it. I checked several guild stores to no avail. Is it that I am just out of luck, or is it some kind of a bug or a very rare recipe?

Recipes are flooding the Guild Kiosks now. A few weeks ago, they were rare and expensive, now you can pretty much buy any recipe by visiting a few guild Kiosks.

And, yes, it seems that there is one or two Recipes at each Recipe Level that Writs ask you for that are rare. You can either search out the recipe in the Kiosks, or, just outright buy the finished product from the Kiosks. Make sure it is the Crafted Green version, not the White dropped version if you buy it.

Barring that, if your on the NA server, send me an email in the game (@Nestor) so I have your account name, and I will make you a small stack of these. More then likely your next writ is going to ask for the same thing, so keep that in mind. I won't be on until late evening this week, have to study for a test.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Funny how it works out, but as often as not, one of the first recipes you will get from turning in a writ will be the very recipe you need but didn't have. If you can't find the recipe in a guild kiosk or crafted Baked Potatoes, I'll send you a few. I may even have some ready to go, as I moved a few cooks up in level. @Maester.White or message me on forum....not currently online, but I can jump on quickly if you reach out.

LOL, how typical. Once I asked I have found a guild kiosk where the recipe was offered :)

    Thanks for your help.

The other possibility, since you obviously have the full recipe improvement, was to wipe your skills and do writs in the starter area until it gave you the recipe. It's used in the AD writs though so you would have really wanted to be in a different faction. Congratulations on having them all though :), I'm doing provisioning writs on all 8 characters so I have quite a bit of data on the progression.

One thing no one's ever mentioned is that the recipe requirement for writs has a set progression. I only know this because I levelled two characters up to the third region of their faction and raised their recipe improvement appropriately. It turns out that the recipes from the third region onwards are identical. They also get precisely the same writ requirements every time, if one character gets "Mammoth Snout Pie" and "Two Zephyr Tea", then so will the other.
Oooh look, lot's of Butterflies! Wait! Butterflies? Get out of here Sheo, stop bugging me!

Good catch. That's sounds like the same tack used for enchanting. The writs always rotate health, magic, and stamina while the level is set by potency level. All writs on any given day will be the same essence, and level appropriate.

Just go to newbie island, and loot/steal from containers, leave zone to reset, return, and repeat. It shouldn't take more than a few cycles for areas with lots of lootables like Mistral.
