Lethal Arrow, more damage. The increased 5m onn tab from Focused Aim isn't that important in PvE.

If you put CP into the increase poison damage passive, it will increase Lethal's Arrow damage significantly. Also it takes away targets healing received by 30% which is quite a bit.

Lethal arrow is better in PvP due to it being a heal debuff. But for PvE focused aim is properly better for more flat damage due to the way it makes you do more damage with bow abilities.

If you have a build with many points in the Champion passive Mighty and none or almost none in Thaumaturge, or if you're fighting a boss that is immune to poison then Focused Aim may be better :)

In most cases, though, Lethal Arrow will be better for dps as it automatically applies the poison damage over time effect which does additional damage and can trigger the Meteor from the Valkyn Skoria boss helmet set every time it ticks.

The Minor Fracture debuff from Focused Aim will barely increase your damage (by less than 1%) and the increased range is simply of no use in PvE.

Against normal monsters either morph will do just fine, the dps difference matters only for bosses and elites with lots of health :)

    - Focused aim benefits from Migthy and Piercing CPs.
its damage is mitigated with Armor.

    - Lethal arrow benefits from Thaumaturgy and Spell Penetration (weird) Cps.
its damage is mitigated with Hardy CP and not sure if also Armor or Spell Resist (some one test pls).

Many people tends to pick Focused Aim because the Migthy points both benefits Focused Aim and DW or 2h skills, so you dont have to invest in Thaumaturgy...

To me its really weird that Lethal Arrow needs Spell penetration, its an arrow... Its physical... but Zos logic..

Lethal Arrow.... hands down. Thamaturge champ passive boosts it and other magic damage, morag tong amplifies bow builds by 15% flat damage with its poison buff alongside lethal injection and acid spray, it fits right in with a Master's Bow once you get a nicely-traited one, and it falls in the same line of champion passives you'll want to amplify as a bow user in general in the first place, especially with dual wield as your secondary bar for swords or maces ;). This applies to both PvE and PvP, as the heal debuff on Lethal Arrow is a pretty big deal in addition to being able to amplify its damage more easily in the first place. (Also, on a meta note, it's pretty obvious to a target when they see that big beam of light from focused aim that they're about to be bursted and should dodge/block/LoS/whatever-else-they-want-to-do-to-not-let-you-kill-them :p).

Exploits suck. Don't blame just the game, blame the players abusing them!

-Playing since July 2013, back when we had a killspam channel in Cyrodiil and the lands of Tamriel were roamed by dinosaurs.

Oh, I didn't know that about Spell Penetration :O I had only noticed an increase when using a Sharpened bow so I assumed it was Armor Penetration.

@R0M2K: Do you know if Poison Injection/Venom Arrow and Acid Spray are considered as Spells for Spell Penetration as well? :)

If so, it might be best to use a Nirnhoned Bow then in a build where you use a crafted bow :)
