No XP gained after killing enemies

Hi everyone,

In some places I'm not gaining XP after killing enemies anymore. I was earning XP in Stonefalls but not anynore, same in Deshaan and now in Shadowfen.

In Shadowfen I was gaining XP yesterday but today, after completing a quest, I go around killing enemies but I gain no XP.

It's like, at some point, at some locations, I stop gaining XP after killing enemies.

Is this a bug or there is an explanation/reason for this?

the quests on that zone are grey? your level is too high for that zone?

I'm level 36 and yes, most of the quests in those areas are grey. Still, I think some types of enemies, in those same areas in grey, still give me XP.

So, this means I have to kill and kill and kill enemies before completing quests or I won't get XP from killing enemies anymore?

Do you have more or less than 5 levels difference between your toon's level and the level of the mob you are attacking? If the answer is yes, then you get no exp. It's part of ZoS's anti-powerleveling system and has been in place since before launch. It also means if you a leveling a toon and you have your maxed level buddy help you out you need to do a decent amount of damage to a mob to get credit for the kill. So while your pal can run you through a dungeon and you can complete the quest inside them. If you want to loot the bodies and get exp from the kills you need to get enough hits into each mob before they one shot them.

Yeap, I have just checked and, since I'm level 36, I'm only getting XP from mobs level 31 and above.
