There are craftable and dropped sets that add stam regen. There is also jewelry you can find loot from mobs or chests, as well as get as quest rewards, that effect either stam regen or stam reduction. Further on once you reach veteran ranks you will be able to accumlate champion points which can be spent to reduce stam costs or increase stam regen.

Become a werewolf and never transform for a 15% increase in combat regen.

I wouldn't worry about it to start.

Most of the stuff listed here is not really available to new players.

Being imperial over redguard didn't create any kind of gap. You picked one bonus over another bonus. You will be fine until at least level 50 using dropped armor bits, and quest rewards.

You can invest in buying armor sets etc. if you like at 30 + but even then you will probably level too fast for it to be cost effective.

Choose Repentence and have it slotted permanently for the 10% extra regen.

Use stamina potions once your pool drops below about 70%.

Level alchemy to get the Medicinal use passive, increasing the duration of your potions to almost the cooldown.

Level enchanting to craft your own reduce stamina cost glyphs. These aren't available from vendors.

Put all your attribute points into stamina. Don't worry about health since the 12% extra racial passives will cover you.

Once you reach that hallowed goal of VR1, start putting your Champion Points (CP) into the stamina cost reduction and regen options.

Not recommended, but you can take the Whirling Blades morph of Whirlwind in the dual wield line.It gives X stamina for each enemy hit, but it has a very small AoE size and the majority of players take Steel Tornado.

There are various sets of armour that drop in places that provide stamina recovery as part of the set bonus. Far too many to list here, but you can have a look at what's available currently here.

Lastly, level your armour lines by deconstructing and researching the traits so you can learn to craft your own to make use of the bonuses on offer listed in the link above.

regen is not always the best way to go, cost reduction is also something you want to think about. That is something that comes up when you get champion points, but also something that can be put on jewlery.
When you spend less you need to have less stamina.

Oh I see. What would you recommend for a Stamina 2h Templar DPS? Would you personally go for Stam Regen or Cost reduction and which would be the easier option to go for straight away when i get higher up?
