"Forgotten wayshrines" - new Cyrodiil idea by QuadroTony

it bring some PVP-related PVE to Cyrodiil

In my long travels in cyrodiil im noticed there is some ruined wayshrines, and after this i become pregnant with this idea
now its born


- i wanna to add 3 daedra bosses with unique mechanics, very hard to kill
- each alliance will have its own boss
- only one boss can spawn at the same time
- bosses spawns randomly 4-5 times in a day
- also the size of the bosses needs to be large - Molag Bal must have a few crazy titans laying around that are just of insane size.
- boss will drop the same items as anchors but alittle better quality
- boss location - 3 ruined bridges near imperial city
- you can use siege weapons to fight with them
- if your alliance kill the boss - all ppl of your allaince will receive access for two additional wayshrines belonged to this boss
- look at the picture to figure out which one, so each boss grant acess for two wayshrines of different color, ie Red boss - to one srine on yellow territory and one shrine on blue territory. etc.
- it will count who last hit boss, so you need watch for thieves who can steal the boss from your alliance
- you can use wayshrine only from other wayshrines, not from the keep
- the ownership of a boss will provide small movement speed bonus for all alliance
- the buff and wayshrine ownership longs only 1 hour or so
- that would give a temporary advantage that would not completely destabilize PvP.
- when boss become wounded more than 50% health all players of all alliances in cyrodiil will see the icon of the boss like "under siege"
- so remember other alliance can come and interrupt your battle, it must be extremely fun

    - access for additional wayshrines will ends in first minute of everey hour, so you need to kill boss again to make them active

    and imagine how huge advantage will have the side who controll all shrines - they can teleport to anywhere to some suprpise moves for their enemies

    Would make PvP strategies useless, for example: if i want to take a specific keep i interrupt the comunication lines around it, with these wayshrines this is an useless strategy and will give to the faction with more Zerg Groups an incredible advantage on the battlefield making the players of the others faction log out

    But i like the idea to have some daedric boss/ warbands around

    lets think
    you want to take the keep, so you will not only cut it out, but also keep your eyes on the boss, and kill yellow boss faster in first minutes of a hour, for example, to prevent yelow raid from such movements

    and not making other players logout, but just w8 an hour, its nothing in PVP, and try to recapture shrine controll

    I am not a fan of attaching this large of an pvp advantage to pveing NPC bosses.

    As i said, would be nice to have some warbands of 20-30 Daedric NPCs going around taking resources (not keeps, maybe outposts) etc. but i dont like the idea that a faction may have an advantage impossible to counter like these wayshrines :/

    Lol sorry can not do that just bought me and my brother 2x turtle beach 800 ps4 headsets. :D

    Also Quad i have done up a world boss segment in my series and i believe these bosses could be closer to world of warcraft mini bosses.
    Where it takes large groups to take em down also maybe if they went this path these bosses could give a small buff to everyone who dealt (x) amount of damage to them. :)

    or just have a scouts near this shrines to prevent such surprises
    really if we have 50/50 ninnja siege tactics. and other dirty things, this one will be macth the pvp IMO and bring more fun :D

    Yes, hard to destroy but it would be better, from my point of view of course :blush:

    Or maybe those bosses may give to the highest ranked player of the faction that kills him/make more damage some buffs, i realy like the Emperor System as a "hero" of Cyrodiil and having some "mini heroes of war" would be great (considering how difficult is to become emperor in some campaigns)

    In theory i lie, the idea, but i'm not sure on the location of these bosses.
    As it stands they are very close to keeps and as such will probably just get ran over by a zerg passing by. i would perfer it if they were an objective further out in the map " off the beaten path" to encourage smaller groups splitting from the main force taking the shrines.
    Also i hghly dislike the idea of guaranteed ste drops every hour. There is a reason most drops are not guaranteed and this would likely turn the bosses more into a gear grind mechanism instead if a pvp objective. Maybee give them dark anchor loottables but nothing extrodinary.
    Additionally the difficulty pf these bosses should be something to consider
    If they resemble the lower vet dungeon bosses in difficulty i think they are fine. I dont see a reason to make them harder. CoA or even trial or vDSA bosses would probably be kinda hard for PvP speccs to deal with, especially of the get some DPS race mechanic. And i wouldnt want to have to change my build to fight those boses in cyro as the only purpose i can see in them is to lead up to nice PvP battles and NOT PvE with a nice little cyro skin. However those bosses also shouldnt be complete pushovers or a couple of high dps speccs can just go rampant and annihalte them in no time. A aomewhat high healthpool seems to be nesseccary.

    Buffs have duration
    How the respawns of them work
    Possible each buff gets stronger each one

    i agreeed about guaranteed drop, will change this

    also about location - it must be avialable for sieges, people will find out new pve tactics with sieges =)
    and remember other alliance can come and interrupt your battle

    it will be extremely fun

    Maybe make it so that the bosses spawn randomly a few times a day (maybe 3 times in total or 2 times each?) and then the faction that kills it gets control of the wayshrines for 1 hour after the boss is killed?

    That would give a temporary advantage that would not completely destabilize PvP.

    I do like the general idea, though.
