help my own new character with my current high-level char

hello everybody,
i have a 43 level player on DC and just opened a new player on AD.
i just found out i can't send my new player items from my high level char.
my question is - in what way can i help my own character level and have the best gear in terms of using my high-level character?
is there a way to send gold\items to my low level char?
just want to level and progress easier (not necessarily faster - i wanna have fun).
