5000 xp for completing 'Shattered and the Lost'

Does this strike anyone else as very weird? On handing in the quest 'Shattered and the Lost' in Craglorn, which includes at least 3 distinct and major sections, I received only 5000 xp for the entire thing, and I'm under levelled for the quest by 2 VR ranks. I've been rounding up a lot of quests in Crag lately, and have been shocked by the sub-millimeter nudges in my xp progress bar as I've handed in these multi-hour quests. Tonight I actually did the math.

I'm pretty sure I get more xp for being an errand boy in VR1 Cadwell's Silver quests that take 5 mins, than I did for this epic quest. I have no issue with the notoriously underwhelming loot for completing these Crag quests, but surely 5000 xp is paltry by any standards for the work put into it?

Totally agree, quest take about 10-20 min. Craglorn ones takes so much time and you need 3 more mates to do them, for what?

All that time to earn 5k of exp?, that´s can be taken in 1 pull grinding. Also the rewards are...

ZOS should take care about this, they focus on leveling doing quest and not grinding. There are few areas for grind and a lot of quest that gives you nearly nothing of exp with **** rewards.

You name it, I get it.

Don't forget that there are only 5 possible XP rewards for quests in Veteran content:
499, 3742, 4990, 7485, and 11227. 11227 is reserved for "Very Hard" quests; that's primarily Main Quests and Dungeons. I would suggest that perhaps Craglorn quests should centre on 7485 rather than 4990, since they are often "Harder" than many other quests. You may want to submit /feedback in-game to say that you don't think the XP reward given by Craglorn story quests is sufficient for the difficulty of the content and the effort invested. I think those are the determining factors for whether something is considered "Standard" or "Hard".

This is the exact reason why I prefer to grind rather than quest. Quest XP simply isn't worth the time and effort. As someone else mentioned the quest XP can be gained by one or two mob pulls in any of the very few remaining grinding areas.

Do a 15-30 minute quest? Or gain the same XP in 15-30 seconds? Obvious answer is obvious.

They didn't hit craig with the nerf hammer they nuked it. There is absolutely no reason to run any of these dungeons, quests, dailies, more than the once you might do for completion. It's a real shame as a great deal of work was put into making a lot of repeatable daily content here that is rather well done. The warrior school is one of my favorite quests in the game.

Meanwhile, if the time sheet says that more than 5 min was put into the dailies in Cyridiil than you should check the internet browsers of the employees because they were not doing what they said they were. Yet we all run those don't we? The payout is quite nice. I guess it makes the PVP numbers look good as people are technically in Cyridiil but it's pretty crappy to torture players by rewarding some of the shoddiest content in the game with the XP they need and effectively barring them from some of the best by making the XP / Hour so low.
I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.

I noticed that in stormhaven actually thats why i came here, i completed a major quest with 1 skill point reward it gave me 5k xp and 150 gold they used to give more gold and xp. before last patch i leveled another char they were giving more xp and gold im pretty sure. ZOS did you secretly nerf the quests ?

Quest XP has not been changed. It's the same now as it was at launch, with the exception that Level 3-6 quests were buffed to give more XP in one of the first patches.

Yup. I've run all of Lower Crag on my baby(v10 at the time I think) templar, she got barely 1/3 of a level. For doing every single delve, every single instance(Seeker's Archive, Spellscar, School of Rahni'Za, Shada's Tear etc) and completing main storyline. I've soloed most of it since no one runs those anymore and I was wondering if I could do it, too. I can see why people don't run it, I mostly did it because completionism. I wasn't in too much of a hurry nor playing 24/7 so Lower Crag took me about a week to complete. And ~30% of a vet level. Hours long quests, running all across the map, finding people to help me unlock doors and stuff....30% of a vet level. One DSA run gives me roughly 1/4 of a level(and please don't nerf DSA!) and it takes ~1.5 hours and has a chance of some actually useful loot. A couple hours of lazy grinding give me 1/3 of a level. Questing in Cadwell's...well I'm not entirely sure because I refuse to do it for the third time but I'm fairly sure even that is faster than Craglorn. And my final reward is a useless purple necklace. Mmmmm. Worth it.

Honestly if they want us to quest they should make it rewarding, not nerf it like they did with Craglorn. Make xp for main quests skyhigh. Make rewards worth it. Those Crag storylines are a real pain to complete, make the rewards epic. Make it some unique set items. Or, say, racial stones for a unique style which cannot be obtained any other way(well that might be overdoing it but you get the idea). Make people WANT to redo them(or better yet release some new content so we don't have to redo it over and over and over), not post a thread like this every other week.
