No.. just happen to be owned by.. not published by. Not quite the same thing.
So? It'd be a great cross-promotion for the parent company. Nobody who was already going to preorder Fallout would decide not to preorder it if they did, while you might have some people who were on the fence about preordering decide to go ahead with it because of such a promotion. You might get a few Fallout fans curious about ESO and get them to try it in the process. The only potential downside is the cost of creating the pet itself, and the cost involved in administration for the codes. Both should be pretty minimal based on the example provided by the pet codes given out with the purchase of things like TES plushies (something with a much smaller target audience than Fallout 4).OtarTheMad wrote: »Bethesda makes Fallout, ZOS makes this game. Right, but they are both published by Bethesda Softworks.
Not going to lie, I've seriously considered getting both the guar and bull netch plushies. I'm actually somewhat amazed I haven't broken down and ordered the bull netch already. And now I'm thinking about it even more...traigusb14_ESO2 wrote: »I would just take a loose Shepard dog unaffiliated with any franchise though.
@UrQuan underestimates the power and draw of the plushie.. o.O

But it is related to ESO. We're talking about possible cross-promotion with ESO, and how much we'd like to see it, and hoping that's a big hint that ZOS passes on... I know for me personally 90% chance a promotion like that would get me to pre-order Fallout 4, as opposed to just waiting until it's on sale to buy it.Surprised this thread hasn't been closed yet since "it isn't related to ESO".
buuuut... Heck yea Fallout 4!!!

Yeah but EA Publishes DICE game (Battlefield etc.) They also publish other stuff. No real conenction.
Zeni owns its sub-studios and Clumps a lot of stuff under the bethsoft.com page
If you look at Bethesda store, they mix the stuff up. Fallout plushies, doom plushies and ESO plushies all on the same page etc.
Cross promotion is not a really far reach.
I would just take a loose Shepard dog unaffiliated with any franchise though.

Also, Bethsoft probably has to pay royalties to Interplay on Fallout-related items they sell so I doubt ZOS would get a cut.

Bethesda owns Fallout, including any future Fallout Online, and would not have to pay Interplay anything. That has all been resolved, to the favor of Bethesda.
On the subject of ESO store merchandise, I cannot see how anything immediately identifiable as being from a post-nuclear holocaust game could be placed into a medieval fantasy game and have it make sense. It would have to be something so generic that we would have to draw the line ourselves, like the German Shepard named "dogmeat" as a pet.
I would pick up Dogmeat if it were made available. Not because I like Fallout (I do), because I like German Shepards.
If the trailer is in game footage which seems to be the fallout 3 engine combined with that awkward dog animation and those dated textures, I would like to know what the hell they have been doing?
Unless the trailer was showcasing the WiiU release?
Was it confirmed already its made by Bethesda? That means we aint getting ES6 in any time soon. ES6 is like 2020...
