Exp sharing between VRs of all levels definitely isn't working

"Grouped Veteran Rank player characters of any level will now receive both experience and loot credit, regardless of their contribution."

I'm a vr2 in a group of vr14s in cyrodil and I'm not getting exp from their kills. This lack of exp sharing includes guards and players. On my vr14 healer when I'm in a raid group of vr14s I'm also not getting exp a lot of the time but I am getting AP. Sometimes I get exp though and no AP. The exp/ap sharing seems to be extremely inconsistent.

Also while I'm mentioning it the range at which you get exp is lower than the range at which you can receive AP. If you're on siege and you solo someone far away you'll only get AP and no exp.

    Perhaps I am confused...

Why should ANY level player get experience if they are not participating in what the group is doing?

That would seem to play squarely into the hands of power leveling sites that script follow a train of "group members" and grind mobs while they basically sit there running at a wall and get free XP.

If no one has to hit a mob to get XP, just be in a group, a power leveling service could theoretically have a dozen or more accounts grouped with them and basically get power leveled simultaneously by the actions of one "master" account.

Shouldn't all players have to contribute SOMETHING in order to gain, or is this some new direction ZOS is taking?

If so I don't see how it could be a good thing.

Its not ANY player and its always been this way for people that are within 3 levels of each other. They just changed it to VR players of all levels can share exp.

Always been like that in PvP, but actually worse now due to lower TTK.

You basically need to do a fair amount of dmg to a target if you want exp in larger battles. So healers, tanks, supports and lower levels with lesser dmg, will have to get their exp from somewhere else.

I can only get exp from healing in small scale PvP, since people aren't dropping in 1-3 sec in those scenarios. Than heal contribution will have time to register, while you dont have to compete with a zerg of guys dropping caltrops and uncapped AoE all over the place.

Than there's support skills, those aren't going to get you any exp at all, even if that purge or rapid you used on an ally actually did contribute to a kill.

I get maybe 500% more exp in PvP when I'm playing my NB dps'ing in a raid, compared to playing the templar healing and supporting. It's *** ridiculously unbalanced.

Suspect it's all a big conspiracy. ZoS wants less heals and support spam in PvP, more glass house nuking, people aren't dying fast enough :anguished:
