Console Grouping with Friends: How to Find Them?

Maybe @NewBlacksmurf knows this one too. If my wife and I start our characters on the XB1, and after the starter area, load into the same town, are we in the same instance of that town, or is there a way for us to find each other in the same town to adventure together?

Is it as simple as join her XBL party, and we will zone together (except for quest progress)?

I understand many of those start quests change the zone as you progress, but if we were at same point in same quest, standing under same tree so to speak.

Is there a UI feature to assist with keeping together outside of phased quests?

With two of my real life friends we never ran into any issues.
Now I will say, that all depends on the quest progress of each person but unless a server is full, I never ran into any issues of finding someone. Just make sure you are on the same faction and same servers

Its helpful to in-game party first which is easy considering is gamertag vs unique character name to invite someone into a party.

Just invite them to a group and you will be phased to the group leaders quest progression.

Quest in progress is the issue..

If you both want to do the quests have the player that has progressed the least for the quest as leader. Then as you move forward you will get in sync.

If not the quest may not progress for that one.

Thanks, good info to have. I'm sure for the first several levels after the intro we'll be in and out of the same stages. Afterwards I imagine it will get easier to stay closer to the same stage.

Also...be open to meeting new people and don't forget the Xbox or PSN forums as its easy to just add a friend from a post on those websites. Ppl who play together, stay together
