Anyone have any idea how big PvP battles will be? Same numbers as PC?

I've been wondering this myself, was going to buy a second copy to play on console with RL friends. but after thinking about it, I'll wait till I see some youtube videos / twitch streams until I spend the cash on it.

I think its safe to assume more people will be playing PS4 rather than Xbox but still not sure as to how many people will be on each.

Wouldn't say this if you look at different Skyrim sells for PS and Xbox ;-)

I wouldn't bet too much on this selling like Skyrim on consoles. Skyrim had a TON of hype when it came out, and it came out day-and-date with the PC release with incredible reviews from day one. ESO is coming out a year after a PC-only release that garnered mixed reviews at best. And it's getting almost no hype at all.

Most gamer podcasts haven't even mentioned it. All everyone is talking about now is E3 stuff, Witcher 3, and the new DLC for Destiny. If most gamers mention Bethesda, it's just to speculate about Fallout 4.

I'm waiting to see if it suffers the same lag!

Who ever has the larger install base is where the sales favor in most multi-platform games, been like that for every gen. Last gen was the 360 and this gen the PS4.

There were surveys done on a few different sites even before PC came out. Tamriel Foundry is one that's coming to mind. Obviously PC took the larger margin by like 70% but the remaining 30% was like 20% on ps4 and 10% on xbox.

I wouldn't be surprised if ZOS has quietly nerfed Cyrodiil size down to 50-75 players max per faction in each campaign to desperately try to fight off the lag and prevent it from happening on console.
Agrippa Invisus / Indominus / Inprimis / Inviolatus
    DragonKnight / Templar / Warden / Sorcerer - Vagabond
Once a General, now a Citizen
Former Emperor of Bloodthorn and Vivec
    For Sweetrolls! FOR FIMIAN!

Wasn't that b4 the move to BtP? I imagine, PvP on Consoles will be less laggy due to the nature of the hardware and lack of mods. However, I expect the meta not to change much....which i why I hope they nerf wrecking blow a tad.

they couldnt fix lag on PC what makes you think they changed the core game structure for console?

I think there is a better chance of no lag on each console as they only had to code for singular hardware structure for each instead of the many 100's of variations of hardware that comes with PC.

I think its easier to fix a problem when everyone has the same machine over trying to fix a problem when everyone's playing on something different.

that would be true if the problem was on our end(our pcs can't handle their game)...however it's not, it seems like it has more to do with their servers not being able to handle the amount of players and abilities being used. Maybe controllers will make it a bit more difficult to spam abilities like in pc but who knows. I would think the high ping problems will still occur, but fps drops might not be as frequent(big if)?

I would think that that even applies to the server end of things as well, if everyone one is the same it should be easier than if everyone is different. I would think it would be more streamlined. There are lots of times that console games have been running better than the pc version of the game, even if they are not mmo's a lot of the pc's should be able to handle the game hardware wise but just run better on consoles. I figured its only because they have to be configured to multiple kinds of hardware instead of only one. I think fps drops are still going to happen on consoles but I think they are going to far better. I mean in the console beta I was part of a 40vs40(or close too) outside a keep with no problems and I know that's still a long shot from 100's on screen. That's how I'm looking at it as someone who has limited understanding.
