Will communication between players be capable across platforms, or will each platform be segregated?

PC communicate with PC players only, or PC able to to communicate with PS4, etc. ?

    Each platform has it's own 'megaserver'.

    That's too bad, the game's chat already feels barren as is, to imagine it even more so afterward is disheartening.

    As a relatively new player, this may be a game changer for me... literally.

    There might be an influx of new players on console, if that is your platform of choice. For PC players there'll be a drop off, but I already think chat is pretty robust in most zones.

    Certainly not in the starter zones, at least not from my own experiences.

    Seeing as the is NO TEXT CHAT in the console versions, it will be even worse I'm afraid, you will only be able to voice chat with people outside your group or guild with proxminty chat with a range of around 20 or so meters in game :/

    But on the bright side there is no push to talk for voice chat so EVERYONE is going to be running around with open mics ... OH JOY!

    AKA play it as a solo RPG & not a MMORPG :/

    Just disable the public voice chat, if there is no way to disable that in game you can make a party chat (Make it private so friends can't join it). Creating a party chat on PSN will mute 'voice' of other players in games but not the game music.
