    Hrm, everyone seems to agree...

Welp, looks like this is never going to happen.

No love to us from developers. They already have a preview window for the store and dye station. How hard could it be to make this work at a crafting station. This has been an ask for some time. There is a lot to like about this game, but in many ways (and lack of preview being one of them), it feels very unfinished. We joke that we are console beta testers, but this is an example why it feels true.

As I come from the Skyrim modding scene (Nexus), I already thought this would be a default feature of the game at launch. The same applies to an ingame face sculpting/changing feature to adress changes in visible character appearance.

I still wonder how many MMOs launch today and do not know what a standard/default feature is.

I know that on eso-fashion.com we can see pretty much all kinds of armor made of different materials.

But what I would love to see in-game is a preview of the armor and weapons you consider to craft. Imagine it like the way we can preview a mount in the crown store.
The icon alone is not enough since it's way too small to recognize any details, and it displays only the male version.

Since I use to combine different styles (I know them all), I'd like to see which style "goes best" with another.
I do have some nice combinations already, but I want to see if there's more :)

Also, for new players who don't know how all kinds of styles in each weight look like, this might be an option, and also an incentive to learn these styles, if they don't know it yet.

It has been requested before, and highly supported. It would be a great addition to the game.

Zenimax would rather add more Graglorn crap that everyone hates instead.

I've used the search function and couldn't find anything, nor did I remember any posting like this, so I just thought I'll create a thread myself :)
But, I'm afraid you're right with your last sentence. I guess we all want to finally see more zones, but there are still some very basics missing (like a crafting preview, for example) which also should FINALLY be added to the game.

Yeah, it really should have been there at launch. AT LEAST a "floating in the open space" preview (like we had it in Skyrim), like @NewBlacksmurf wrote.

And for the appearance change, it was also featured in Skyrim where an NPC in Riften offers this, but we also could use the console command "showracemenu" and could change it all (everything including name, race, etc, from scratch), if we would want to :) Unfortunately, no console commands for us in ESO^^

Agreed that this is a much needed feature in any modern MMORPG. Any idea or feedback if the developers are at least listening and considering this?

Honestly, I could see this becoming a reality, especially considering we have a previewer already in-game with regards to looking at costume armour before purchasing from the Crown Store. Whilst not entirely the same thing, that preview mechanic does seem to provide some foundation of hope to hold on to for it's future application to all armour/arms etc.
If you can be anything, be kind.

Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.

I kind of grow tired of more and more FICa, some not even close to be nice, bugs proliferating quickly and small things, relatively speaking, that the community, a.k.a. the customers, are asking being neglected because something else, again, not even that great is being developed instead.

Yes, we need that, always have to open google and check how the armor looks when i craft something in ESO, an ingame option for that would be very useful.
