    I like to have weekly on all my alts, especially the DSA one =) More gold from selling gold DSA jewelry for more skillful players, sounds fair enough!

    I can see where you come from, because there are people doing the weekly with their alts to get multiple rewards.

    While that might not seem fair to those who barely can make it into the top 100, these guys with multiple alts still have to accomplish the trial with each character. I personally have no issue with that (dont have an alt but never missed my single weekly reward so far).

    You should elaborate more on why you think it's unfair/not justified.

    Well his Point is that most "pro"Groups running vdsa or trails 8times with the same Setup to achive most times the same score. This 8 Play use then x8 space on the leaderboard and for not pro Groups is it hard to get under the top 100.

    So Change it so that the leaderboard is based on acc not on the char, but with the reward for all alts

    It's basicly only an issue with DSA weekly @SteveCampsOut because the golden VR14 Healer/Footman rings sell for 400-1000k each, making it very profitable to do the weekly several times.

    But since Gold is worth nothing in ESO and there are several legit ways to farm as much gold as you'd like, I dont see a problem.

    Aside from the Jewellry, you can get Master's Weapons you dont have yet.
    The loot from the other trial weekly is medioce at best. Maybe you'd want a golden Two-Fanged Ring from AA, but generally speaking, the stuff from AA/HR/SO sucks for those who get the loot anyways because they are already able to accomplish the trials.

    not that long time i ago i saw someone sold golden healer ring for 1 milion on EU Server. I personaly sold my golden footman ring for 630k in 3h after placing it on guild store

    I generally sell for 500-600k but usually Blobs buys it and resells for 1 million 1 week later or so when everybody has already sold their stuff ^^ You can surely find cheaper rings but the guys selling it dont know nothing about how much poeple are ready to spend for yellow rings.

    I can easily imagine a yellow vr14 ring pulling 500k+ I sold a blue vr1 ring for 15k on NA and thats something you out level fairly quick. This is why we need jewel crafting sooner than later.

    I disagree. This issue is rather that we need more useful stuff to spend our money on. Justice system has added substantially more money into the game without any further gold sinks, + many people who've been playing for 6+ months have finished the nirncrux thing (researched all traits + crafted the nirnhoned items they needed).

    We've all pretty much acquired the outfit we needed to adjust to 1.6 new skill balance (martial knowledge, cyrodiil light and adroitness, and equivalent for stamina) without any incentive to spare gold for new builds since no new content is in sight. Therefore we don't care to spend tons of gold on really rare and useful items, i.e. VR14 gold rings from FOTM sets (healer and footman being still part of it) and gold tempers to upgrade looted purple stuff.

    Even potion ingredients and purple tempers are getting worthless (I guess people get bored and take more time to farm instead of running dungeons and trials for the zillionth time).

    Not even considering that many people have quit the game until new content is out. And Witcher 3. And whatever.

    Same economy size + more money into said economy => inflation (of which higher prices is a symptom). Even worse if said economy size is rather shrinking.

    One thing ZOS should really do regardless of console release is throw some new lootable BoE sets into the game. Would give us something to chew and min/maxers never get tired of trying out everything.

    I don't think the OP was complaining about weekly rewards being tradable for a lot of gold, but rather about some excellent players taking up several positions in the top ranking instead of just one, due to multiple characters, leaving less space for lower ranked.

    I can fully understand that, it's like letting Usain Bolt run the same race twice and get gold + silver medals just for running with different shoes. But, on the other hand, players with multiple VR14 characters have taken the time and effort to level up those alts and learned to play with them (it's usually not the same class / role as their main) so I don't see why that effort should not be rewarded with each of them having its own ranking and reward.

    you missunderstood. my en is not the best :(

    you still have to compleat the run with all alts atleast once and get under the top x.
    but not every single alt get listed in the leaderboeard, just the acc itself with the highest score you achived.

    so the leaderboeard have place for other grps witch dont have 8 pro alts

    I don't think the 50 or fewer players who have dedicated their lives to running vDSA with multiple toons will have much affect on player numbers, regardless if they stay or go.

    Weekly trial reward-bound...why DSA weekly can't be? you can still get reward but can't sell it.

    I think you're wrong, they're an "example" for quite many players still out there who find an incentive in "getting better" beacuse these people are still there.

    And in any case, these rewards being for sale are also an incentive for other players to stay in the game, making money to buy the stuff.

    At this stage of "nothing to do", all objectives count. You can't stay forever running around admiring the wnderful scenery, you need something to do. Even the stupidest grinding will do better than nothing at all.

    I see what you mean but then how do you define "X" ? And how do you know you're within these "X" if all results are not listed ? Where do you draw the lines ?

    Say A1 is char 1 of player A, A2 is char 2 of player A, B1 is char 1 of player B, etc.

    A1 scores 10000, rank 33. Player A stands in the rankings place 33.
    A2 scores 9500. Player A still stands in the rankings place 33 with 10000. A2 does not appear at all but is potentially eligible for reward.
    B1 scores 11000, rank 20. Player B stands in the rankings, place 20.
    B2 scores 9300. PLayer B cannot know whether it's eligible / enough for reward because he does not know what A2 did because it doesn't show up.
    Healthy competition implies that you can see the results of others to know where you stand. It's impossible with that system.

    And it would means that potentially 800 reward items would be distributed per week (and even far more considering that equal scoring per team are considered 1 position) ... would highly devaluate those rewards imho. To a certain extent, a reward must remain rare.

    Unless I'm missing something obvious, wouldn't it just be a whole lot easier to make it the top 500 players?

    This would open it up for lower level players
    Potentially increase the volume of highly rare items
    Potentially decrease the high cost of items in market

    No reason why in theory, the system couldn't take those Top500 and use the RNG to issue the type of prizes across those 500.

    I think it is a poor idea to limit some players ability and reason to play. While there are those will alts that make multiple leaderboard runs each week, the entire 100 slots of the leaderboard are not filled by the same 10 groups on different alts.

    The scoring is more what needs to change. Speed being the only factor for leaderboard is a poor design.

    The gear that normally drops BoP is BoP for weekly rewards. The gear that drops BoE is BoE in weekly rewards.
