Pre ordered the game, played intensively at launch. Enjoyed all of it, bugs imbalances you name it. What i enjoyed most was the harshness of vet zones. One mistake, one ill timed skill use or let mobs do their thing and you could respawn.
Sub ran out, was playing another game when it did and now got back into ESO. Several fights i was looking forward too in vet zone only to find that it got dumbed down to no challenge what so ever. People used to lfg for all kinds of stuff, public dungeons this world boss or that one, no matter where you where, now zone chats are dead silent.
Why? theres nothing out there that actually tries to kill you anymore. When i first got to vet zones i got gobbled up and gobbled up again, now i just run around waving my arms around like a boss and everything drops dead.
Oh look a dark anchor activated, lalalalala, "now face my badass of badasses mortal" lalalalalala, "youve done nothing mortal" .... um well yes, spawn something that CAN ACTUALLY HURT ME????? Soloing vet dark anchors ... and not break a sweat?
Oh hey, its a world boss, lalalalala, you completed badass of badasses, ... NEXT
Oh hey, its a dungeon, and look heres the boss of it, lalalalalalala, you completed this or that badass dungeon.
Am i playing vet here or what is this, tutorial?
oh hey, its an endboss from questline, "ima go kill you you pathetic vermAAAARGH" boss dies halfway speech .... i mean ..... really?
Made a character based on previous experiences, had to be sturdy, selfheal capable and end up being tank heal and dps all on one toon. Not only for questing but can do all that on dungeon runs aswell ... vet dungeons used to scare me, now i can run theoretically solo (it would take to long to try)

Well you asked for it, complained for it, cried tears filling up riverbanks the Nile would be jealous off and you got it, game with no challenge whatsoever, hope you happy.
And love how that ominous sound when getting agro sounds ... "you betta run kiddo, you gonna get wooped now you hear?" ...wait what? yous talking to me? lalalalala

Not sure what you are trying to accomplish with this thread...

However, there is a difference between something being difficult for punishing you for not following mechanics, and something being difficult for being artificially and arbitrarily time consuming.

If you think Cadwell's is too easy to do your vet leveling, perhaps you would enjoy leveling in Cyrodiil through PvP?

So... the difficulty was the way you liked it but you stopped paying the sub. Then you left, and were not paying a sub. Then you came back and were upset that the people who stayed playing the game and who stayed paying the sub had some sort of say into how the game went, we all should have just left it the way it was for you to come back because....

I am not saying that I disagree with you about the difficulty of Vet content, but if you think your voice counted once you left the game, then you are mistaken - you were probably lumped in with all the people who left complaining it was too hard.

im getting achievements unlocked in all zones and try to be as low level as can be while doing it, but those dont count for nothing as its eyes closed blindfolded easy compared to what i remember.
And pvp in this game is just a zerg fest, only fun if you have the biggest zerg.

Touche'. In the latter stages of the game, I'm not really complaining. It's nice to have easy PvE mobs (including bosses) that can easily be soloed. This benefits those who are hunting explorer titles, quest titles, and the like. Running through like a mack truck and completing as quickly as possible is the goal. I can also see tears from people crawling up from V1, hoping the ride to be a bit more challenging. It would leave you with a sense of pride knowing you conquered 'x' by having to actually strategize your encounters.

Agree with everything you stated. Been here from day 1 and before. A lot of people that staid complained loud enough to dummy the game down. I can understand why ZoS did it because too many people left from the bugs and bots so they had to try and save the game some how. They did a great job at killing majority of bots and made crafting good again (at least where you could harvest). But because of people like you they had to dumb down the game so people at least had a chance of defeating them. I admit they took them down way to much, then went B2P and created the crown store while going ahead with their console work.

I still remember the first time I took on Dosha, took me 3 times until I got how to defeat her. That was fun and how it should still be but alas I believe those days are gone. :(

Yeah, go to pvp its tough simply because of all the exploiters running around killing anyone in less than 1 second, heck sometime's I can't even get a block in before im dead.

PVP isn't broken but soon will be if something isn't done to stop the cheaters.

The problem with ZOS making harder content is that players will actually become much more skilled, and then ZOS will have to maintain making harder content in order to keep everyone satisfied.

    Hi everyone,

One of the topics we frequently get feedback on is ESO’s Veteran content. Some of you may have seen our recent comments about changes we have in store for ESO’s post-50 experience. We want you to know we’ve been listening to your suggestions and concerns, but more importantly, we want to tell you what we’re doing about them. Today, we have an update from the ESO Dev Team to share with you.

Some of the concerns you’ve called out are: Veteran content is too much of a departure from the level 1 to 50 experience, playing and leveling through it is too much of a grind, and that the rewards you get don’t match the effort you have to put in to progress.

One of the guiding principles of our Veteran gameplay was to encourage you (not force you) to group. We wanted you to be able to reach max level by playing solo if you wished, but still encourage you to group with others along the way. This principle was the reason we made our post-50 zones more difficult; we wanted you to get together with others to take on tougher challenges and form social bonds while you did so. But we understand that, despite our vision, this is not how all our players want to experience the game beyond level 50.

We recognize that many of you love the game you played while leveling up, and that you feel the post-50 zones are too much of a departure from that experience. We hear your requests to continue participating in solo content as you progress through Veteran Ranks, and we’re acting on that feedback.

Starting next week on Monday, July 7th, you’ll see the first significant change we’re making to the Veteran System. We’re implementing some balance changes to content in post-50 zones that will make it much more like the content from levels 1-50. Our goal is to remove the feeling of “I have just hit a wall of difficulty” that many of you have expressed—you’ll be able to solo much more easily. This is just the first of many large-scale changes coming to ESO’s Veteran System, and we encourage you to watch our QuakeCon panel on Friday, July 17th, where we’ll go into much more detail about the other parts.

Thank you for sticking with us, sharing your concerns, and supporting a game we all love.

I love the bolded part from this post from the nerf. I wonder how many people who asked for it are still around...

You're not seeing the trees for the forest (or is it the other way around I dunno)

You're missing the biggest challenge ESO offers.

It gets harder and harder to login every day.

While I agree vet content is disappointingly easy now, vet dungeons are harder than they used to be in my opinion.
The nerfing of Doshia was sad because the only reason it was difficult was if you did not pay attention to mechanics,. Admittedly that nerf had no impact on me because the *** was easily killed before she even changed anyway.

Not entirely sure what this has to do with anything, as it does not relate back to the OP's concerns... but sure, I'll bite

I play a DK tank loosely based off the regenerator build on @pppontus from Tamriel Foundry.

    http://tamrielfoundry.com/topic/1-6-tank-the-regenerator/

If you are intending to flame me for suggesting PvP, doing so was mainy in jest to refer to how broke-a** that is right now, since the OP was complaining about PvE being "broken".

I personally find running 5-10 mins between keeps only to get insta-gibbed to be a greater waste of my time than endlessly grinding when I want more champ points.
