race for classes and class advice (life stealing, self healing dps class)

Hello everyone,
I returned back after long time and I have few characters and just wonder if they have correct race for a class.

Imperial Nightblade (planned for stamina)
- I dont want to reroll this one because he is higher level

Imperial and Breton Templar (planned for stamina - it will be probably better to pick imperial?)
- I can reroll it if its worth ? I have higher level on Breton, but Imperial is probably much better choice for Templar if I dont plat to be heal bot

High Elf Sorcerer (is there anything better than HE?)
- I guess that this is good choice, or should I pick something else? I am at the beginning so I can reroll easily

DK darkelf (is DE bad choice if I plan to pick stamina build? Should I reroll it to Imperial. Is it possible to play DK as magicka melee tank or its just not worth and its better to stay with destro staff?)
- I have low level so I can reroll easily and I dont have lot of idea which race to pick

I am starting so many characters because I want to actually try which playstyle will fit me best, because its hard to ask people to help with choosing a right class for you.

But if anyone can answer me it will be nice.

I would like to create DPS character with great amount of self healing, life steal or simply with the way how to get health back and be able to easily soloing through game and at the end will be useful in PvP with similar playstyle.

If you can advice me also "weapon choice" it will be even better.

    Imperial Nightblade (planned for stamina)
Redguard is better for stamina based builds, imperial has better protection and makes it more complete. For PvE tanking and PvP the imperial is better. for PvE stamina dps a redguard would be better. Difference are small though. You won't be frowned apon running imperial at all.

Imperial and Breton Templar (planned for stamina)
Breton is strong for magica, but doesn't do anything for stamina builds. Imperials are better here.

    High Elf Sorcerer
If going for a magica dps sorcerer then this is the best option. It's a lil bit vanilla to run sorcerer this way, but then again, it is vanilla cause it is so good.

    DK darkelf
Magica is viable for healing and dps. Not for tanking. although strong self healing results in tanking, it requires more active action then blocking (which is stamina based). You can bypass this by getting stamina from other sources like equipment and having an extra pool as a werewolf.

Through me among the people lost for aye.

Ranique: thanks a lot for your answers which brings me to another question.

DK magicka vs DK stamina (is it comparable or is one of them significantly better?)

Stamina Sorcerer ? is it good? I expected that Sorcerer is simply just much better as ranged magicka DPS so I didnt event think about stamina.

Right now FOTM for PvP is sorc/nb. I've got a VR1 nb, VR2 Sorc, VR5 Dk and VR14 Templar. I do not PvP that much so its hard to speak conclusively on that front.

Reference this, I think all classes can currently be played effectively as either stamina or magicka DPS. Reference the self healing Templar has amazing healing (both self and group) but any class can slap on a resto staff. All classes also have a self heal of sorts, for DK this is green dragon blood, for sorc it is your pets. If you attack light and heavy with a resto staff there is some passive healing that occurs, dk and sorc also have some limited passive healing on DPS skills. NB is probably the king of passive self heals IMHO,

Also if you are good at dodging fire you could try vampire (its rather unpopular ATM) but the bat swarm is a nice DPS + heal (then again so is dk's standard of might, and NBs red circle (forgot the name)). I think conventionally most currently feel stamina is the best way to go (for several reasons) but if you ignore the nirnhoned delimah I feel either magicka or stamina are viable.

My favorite for dungeons currently is my shielded Sorc, he's a magicka tank in light armor and nearly unkillable in on level dungeon content.

Here's a link to the build my sorc derived his build from:

    http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/169267/pve-tank-build-brandalfs-shocker-sorc-tank#latest

I've made a lot of changes from the build above and really enjoy the active play style he can tank veteran pledges on or near his level, and presumably will get even stronger as he grows...he was squishy till about level 42 when I unlocked the shielding spell (last active skill in the summoning tree). Now he is practically immortal but god if that shield is down and he gets hit its 1-shot death lol.

Regarding the race I wouldn't sweat what race you are, my nb is argonian (probably the worst racials for min/maxing) and I have plenty of fun. Technically imperial is said to be the strongest regarding racial passives I've had imperial edition since day 1 and the highest level I've ever taken an imperial is about level 15, currently I have no imperials.

I think my favorite race is khajiit or argonian cause potion synergy and stealth synwrgy, but pure stat wide approach imperial has the stats.

Hope I've helped some and not muddied the water :)

TLDR version: I wouldn't worry too much about class and or race as they are all viable for how you want to play but there are differences but these will change over time naturally (its how MMOs work) and by the time you get to VR14 the advice you get today will be outdated.
