Why can't I re-enter the Manor of Revelry now that I have completed the quest? (Unhappily solved)

As the title says. The manor of Revelry in Coldharbor is an AWESOME location and I decided I wanted to just come back and explore it later. But now I cannot enter the manor itself even though I can enter the grounds. What's up with that ZOS? Can someone please explain? It's really annoying!

I've successfully re-entered it after completing the quests. It's been a while, tho. (HATED Coldharbor)

There's several quests like these that make me sad. Quite annoying really; like the wood-elf woman who ate those altmer and left their bones in theater beneath the house, the labrynth (though you can cheat and jump over using a tree trunk), or our favorite daggerfall vamps compound.

Truth is I've not had a desire to go hunt and travel back to any of these specifically (with perhaps for the labrynth...very cool at night), but when I run across them, I'd love to visit again

Yep it's the quest where you rescue Stibbons from the Seducers and is by far one of my favorites. Oh Stibbons you irresistible lady killer you! LOL

Since you say you were in fact able to get back in I was wondering if you'd be willing to test that again now and let me know the result?

Same goes for Arenthias other Town districts... I really found it annoying that those are hidden from you now.

Okay I checked it Morna. I could enter the place no problem I would post an image. But it seems you cannot directly upload them in this forum.

Wow! Thank you for doing that! And you've completed the quest of rescuing Stibbons? I'll put in an in-game ticket then and see if maybe I can't get it figured out. I have 2 characters that have done the quest and I can't get in with either of them. Thank you again!

Its a design flaw. the devs put no thought into how they made things like this. People actually re-visiting places never occurred to them. Im not surprised....

Well apparently some people CAN get back in. So I'm going to open a ticket and see what happens. I'll report back with my findings.

He's supposed to show later, either in Hollow City or by Lady Laurent's side...and he never appeared at either for me. (Figured he would be one of the optional take-along's)

Give Stibbons time and I'm sure he'll get trapped there again. In fact, looking back, I'm pretty sure Stibbons intentionally let himself get captured over and over again as part of some weird rescue me fetish.

Hmm, that one's not ringing a bell with me, and now I'm curious. @Area51Visitor do you remember what quest that Daggerfall vampire compound was related to? I'm usually really good at remembering the various quests and locations, but I'm drawing a blank on that one, and it's bugging me...

It all depends. I ran into him in Glenumbra for Caldwell's Gold so this would be after Coldharbor.

What I want to know is, has anyone ever collected his entire outfit? And does it look any different than regular clothes?

Nothing special about Stibbons' clothing unfortunately. It all just looks Breton. I was disappointed.

after you rescue Stibbons for the last time, he stands right next to Lady Laurent in Hollow City and she still goes on about how Stibbons is missing.

Then I will decon the stuff or sell it. I was hoping it would be close to his outfit that he wears in the game. I had not collected all of it and since it is BoE, I did not want to put things on until I knew if I wanted them.

It depends on whether you did the quest in Spurned Peak I think. I did both and he appears at Lady Laurents side in the Consultants House in the Hollow City

I was actually able to get back into those district just by jumping on some rocks outside the city. Not much to see there, though.

Yeah I don't know why they didn't make it a special outfit, which would have been really cool. Would have been nice where if you got all the pieces you'd be granted a costume of the outfit he does actually wear and then you could just put that on top of the actual collection pieces. That would be funny and appreciated.

So here's the response to my ticket:

I took a look into this for you, and as it turns out, it is intended that you are not supposed to be able to re-enter the manor after completing the quest. I tested this myself by using my character that's completed the quest line - I was not able to re-enter the manor either.

The "flag" that allows you to enter the manor is the portion of the quest where you have to rescue Stibbons. After you complete that portion, and you start the escort quest inside of the cave (secret exit), the manor will remain closed and you will not be able to re-enter.

This is working as intended and is not a bug. If you'd like to regain access to the manor, I would recommend submitting a /feedback ticket in-game. Feedback tickets are sent to our dev team, so that is the best way to suggest a change to the game. While I cannot guarantee a response to a /feedback ticket, I can assure you they do read them.

So apparently this is "working as intended." I REALLY hate this. As a roleplayer I get really cranky that access to so many GREAT roleplying spaces is denied to us. There are tons of places in the game you CAN return to after you've done the quests associated with them and they are now wonderful open spaces devoid of hostile NPCs. Why aren't ALL the areas of the game like this????

I would have bet a lot of money that I re-visited that manor for my monster hunter title achievement.
Specifically killing the water girls that scream.

You might be able to get into the cave from the cave exit, but the access to the manor would be blocked off.
