I have searched the forums for a solid but to no avail.

Hope for the best, expect the worst. If anything ZO$ has proven to be unpredictable and unreliable. It's coming. Maybe not exactly w/ the console release, but the beginning code for controller support is already in the PC version and it's been confirmed by ZOS that it's coming.0 -

Obviously implying that ZOS is a commercial company that needs to make a profit to justify themselves to their share holders?

It was ZOS when they presented a vision of a game supported by subscriptions with the promise of frequent new content, and a whole lot of other things which have mostly turned out to be baloney. It became ZO$ in January with the announcement of the current pay system and a hold on almost all game changes in favor of console development. ZO$ deserves to get singled out for the deceitful way they handled that transition. Did WOW, Activision ever present themselves as a better way of gaming only to do a 180 on their pay model, or did people know what they were getting from the start with them? It's one thing to want to make money, it's another to disappoint your fans, and purchasers of your product to turn a slightly better profit. As unrealistic or crazy as it sounds customers actually want to feel valued and feel like the company cares about making them happy and profiting, not just profiting. Sandmanninja✭✭✭✭I don't use a console, but I think it's only fair console people got some love.
There were technical complications that affected their release date for the console versions.
There were also complications due to the way microsoft has their xbox live service set up.
To be fair to all platforms, ZOS had to drop the pay model for all platforms.
I'm sure there were compatibility issues as well, making the 2 different services (ESO and XBOX Live) talk to each other.
So I don't mind that ZOS focused on keeping their promise to the console users.
That promise has nearly been fulfilled, and I look forward to new content for all platforms.
I still don't see why you whack a $ in something.

But lying to your customers is adult behavior? Okay, maybe there was no out-right lie, but there certainly was the lie of omission, whereby knowledge that could have been shared was not. Why should we accept that kind of behavior just because it's a corporation. No corporation ever made a decision, only people who hide behind a corporate veil. I see no reason to allow them to act boorishly and not give them a jab, if only by reminding their customers who they are dealing with. Corporations are not entitled to a profit, they have to earn it. It's coming. Maybe not exactly w/ the console release, but the beginning code for controller support is already in the PC version and it's been confirmed by ZOS that it's coming.
That's awesome news, I really hope it is given to us upon console release.
