As a perk for being a master crafter, it would be *great* if you could change the traits on items that are bound to your account.
The reason I bring this up specifically is because there are dropped items like the Desert Rose PvP set from PvP containers that have *gasp* Exploration trait on it. Why in the world would a light armor pvp set for maxed out characters have exploration trait on it...that's a topic for another thread.
However, this wouldn't be an issue if a master crafter could change traits.
This would serve at least two purposes. 1) It rewards people who have leveled up their profession. 2) fixed developer oversights on itemization.
I'm not talking about changing traits on non-bound items. I'm talking about bound items that you get as drops or items you crafted and bound to you.
anyway...just wishful thinking as this topic has come many times and nothing has been done .
edit: actually just being able to change or add a trait on any gear would be nice. I don't see how that could be unbalanced. Allows you to play with different builds. and gives people a great incentive to level crafting.
For crafted gear, sure you could make an argument you make another piece of what you want.
However, there's lot of gear now that comes from chests that already have traits on it and you can't change them. Like the PvP sets from PvP containers or the chests from DSA.
