Why do we need to wait until, I believe it was a month(?), after consoles launch before we get new content? The game is awesome and all, but its really lacking in new content, and a cosmetic shop can only go so far before even that gets boring since it really isn't playable content.

Wouldnt suprise me if they save the content to make an "exit" and sell the game to some other company.
Even the bug fixes are seriously watered down to easy code swap/changes as far as I can see.
It's almost as if it's something a single developer has done "to appease the community" rather than actually make an effort to change things.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is animosity between console players and PC players given that console is the one and only reason we are waiting for content.
Knootewoot wrote: »I am wondering since TESO is not a mere port which works on all systems how they will create new content.
Will they first create it for PC and then later try and make it work for consoles?
Will they create it simultanously (or however you write it) and release it all together?
Will the do console first and PC last?
Also how will this affect content speed. I haven't waited for content this long in a mmo since Tabula Rasa (and to be fair Vanguard but at least they had some content)

Like any dlc content it is often done on all systems at once and side by side, the reason why some systems gets different things is marketing and/or deals, not that it is done at different times. The only time I have seen it delayed solely because of a system was with the first couple of skyrim dlc and that was ps 3, cause it had problems
But good questions on who will get things first, picture it will come down to marketing in this case.
But hopefully they will answer

They won't sell the game to another company because it is all tied up in the Elder Scrolls IP. The best they could do is just hire a company to work on it, but they already have one, so I don't see this as likely.Even the bug fixes are seriously watered down to easy code swap/changes as far as I can see.

I am telling you, there is a major update in development right now. Most fixes are being put into that update and only the easy and high priority fixes are getting put in the incremental patches. What we are seeing here is the water receding before the big wave comes in. I am actually a little surprised that they are doing incremental patches, even small ones.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out with Windows 10 on the PC and on Xbox One with Universal Applications. If ZOS moves ESO over to Universal Apps it will be easier for them to add DLC on two of the three systems.
